    Right. So if you unplug the connector after you engage 4wd, there should be continuity between pins 3 and 4.

    So If you meter pins 3, 4, 5, and 6 (ref) you should see continuity (beeper) change as is moves from engaged to disengaged.

    Also, you need to check that there is no longer continuity between pins 6 and 4. This is how the computer knows to stop sending power to the motor. I think it's a combination of no ground at pin 6 and ground at pins 4 and 5. I also there is some kind of timer in ECU and if the above conditions aren't met by the end of the timer it throws an error.

    Maybe I'm reading the diagram backwards, but to me, I would think that 6 and 4 are open in one position and 6 and 3 are open in the other, and vice versa?
    Also, @Subway4X4 , with three wheels rotating, was there any force, or was it just free-wheeling with the driveshaft/ring/spiders?

    When engaged pins 3 and 5 are grounded (pin 4) and pin 6 is open.

    The three wheels were being driven. The transfer case was sending power to the front DS wheel, only when the front air locker was engaged.

    When the front air locker is switched off, both front wheels were free wheeling.
