You sir are a Genius! I never would have thought to use the AC drain grommet. I just ran my coax last night from the bed, under the cab and through the AC drain grommet. Total time may have been 30 minutes.

    Thank you!

This is how I've got my Cobra 75WX ST set up on mine. This is one of the blanks ahead of the shift lever.

[IMG]IMG_1455[3895] by Mike M, on Flickr

Yes, it's not 100% centered, my measurements were slightly off. However, I got it set up perfectly without a scratch on it, so I'm calling it a win. I've got a 4' Firestik on a CBI ditch light bracket with a spring and quick disconnect. I just need to reassemble the center console and I'm good. My SWR measured nearly 1.0 on Channel 1 (needle barely moved) and about 1.3 on Channel 40. I'm not planning on touching it.

I'm on the fence on mounting the mic, but I figure it's a case of plugging in the antenna and microphone when I'm ready to use it. I have an external speaker that I'm unsure if I will use.

Just got one of these ext. speakers. Was looking for options on mounting.
Thinking of cutting into the overhead sunglass holder. Then I would need to extend the cable to the box.
    hmmm.....
any ideas? Anyone else do this besides @MeefZah ?

I bought a little external as well but haven't figured out where to mount it. Was thinking above the seatbelt mount on the driver side above the driver left shoulder.

Also wish it would stop raining today so I can do the whole cb install and oil change since it's my only day off

That would be a good spot too.
Think I am going to hack into the sunglass holder and run an extension down to the box.

Probably smart. I imagine getting a replacement sunglasses holder part is cheap. Might look into there too

Yeah. Was thinking the same thing. Would be the smallest part. But ya know....I can't get that door out easily. Wondering if there is some trick to getting it out without snapping the two little tabs.

Could always just use the bracket it came with too and put a couple smallish holes in that door instead.

Hmm. Haven't really tried removing it ever. Honestly I never even touch the sunglasses holder. Such a waste of space if you ask me

No. I just just an add-a-fuse.
I know it's not the best, but it does work.
I have too much shit going into the battery right now.
Aux fuse block is on the list. Has been for a while.
