    Mostly stuff I built.
If the power surge at 3500 rpm is gone and the engine braking issues are fixed I am in like sin.

@OVTune thank you for your time and dedication to helping us achieve better driving experience.

How does the tune effect the Atkinson/Otto relationship? What I mean by that is does the tune eliminate the Attkinson or does it change the time when the "switch over" happens?

    Thanks

From the auto thread, it sounds like late November at the earliest.

    The bigger questions is...

When can those of us that are running 1.02C expect to see 1.03 files?

Thanks. So forgive me for sounding uneducated, but can someone kind of get me up to speed on what exactly this tune is supposed to accomplish? I’ve been reading the auto thread but i haven’t been able to find a decent explanation that isn’t above my head.

I love my manual 2017, but I have pretty much had to re learn how to drive a stick because it’s so jumpy. First to second and second to third in particular. Im assuming this tune gets more power to the truck sooner in the power band so it reduces how hard it is to drive?

I don’t think that Toyota spent nearly as much time with the tuning as they should have. I’m running 1.02C right now and it runs much smoother and power delivery is much smoother that stock. And then there’s the noticeable increase in power throughout the rpm range. Did you see the video with the change in throttle response? This MT specific tune is going to be even better.

Ok, I will try to put this into terms that most dudes will understand.

Right now, your stock 6MT is like a normal chick that is realistically a high 6 to low 7 on the hot scale. This tune is like taking that hot chick to the plastic surgery center, dropping her off, and when you pick her up she's a 12. Make sense?

There is also a bench tune available, but you'd be unable to drive your truck for a few days. Check this thread for overall information about the tune:

That “jumpy” feeling is probably the non linear throttle and crappy power delivery that Toyota left us with.

This tune will make the driving experience smoother and increase power output.

Thank you. I’ve been looking for something like this ever since I got the truck. Figured it was just a matter of time.
