Subs

I am looking to get 2 ten inch subs and I was wondering what type would be good for my 2010 double cab prerunner...

Also, would I have to get a custom box for it or a slim fit box?

 

You will need both shallow subs and a custom shallow box. You only have about 6 1/2 inches to play with behind the back seat.

Wrong.. I run full size 10" Audiobahns behind my rear seats. This is the box I have:

You don't need special "shallow mount" subs per se, you just need to make sure the depth will fit whatever box you get. The audiobahns linked above are 5-3/16". I believe the Alpine Type-S that I ordered has a depth req of 4.3".

If you go with the box that imsikotic linked, its max allowable depth is 5.75" and has a volume of .75 cubic feet per chamber. Just make sure whatever sub you order operates within these requirements and you're good!

I got the 2 10" pioneer premier shallow mount subs I like them a lot

 

I love my Audiobahns. But they are hard to find anymore. This is the second set I've bought.

 

I think that I saw that box on ebay as well or one that was very similar. Are the backseats still able to lean all the way back and are comfortable to sit in?

 

yea fully functional

 

It doesnt affect the rear seats at all.
