2003 Toyota Tacoma 2WD 2.4 liter modification questions

    First off I know this truck is little compared to others, but I love it! It is such a great little commuter.

    That being said, it is under powered and feels a bit tired.

    I am curious about modifications to do a partial/full engine rebuild (and at that point should I just buy a crate engine), for sure upgrading the suspension (maintaining stock height), and just over-all stage 1/2 upgrade.

    Thoughts? Thank you in advance. I am looking for specific parts recommendations. I have started research on Rock Auto, but I have not gotten very far.

    Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16

    He has some dyno charts up on his site at 4.5 psi I think he made 175rwhp no other mods.

    Thats actually really decent, the 4.0 i. The 2nd gen is prolly only puttin ~200 to the wheel and its considerably heavier.
