Not yet, give them some time. Though I have noticed a lot of buck rub on the property. Not sure if anyone already shot him yet.

Well, we'll need to have some venison over the fire some day.

Yep. Though it may be end of the year until it arrives. I spend most weekends up there trying to clear out some invasive honeysuckle. It's not the vine-type either, it's a hardy shrub that is spreading through the property. My dad thinks it adds nice shade, he doesn't understand "invasive". So I'm trying to cut it out so I can replace it with a valuable natural resource, like fruit/nut trees.

Nope, they are still being manufactured in China. Once they are complete, they need to make there way across the ocean. Then through customs. Then delivery which I'm still not sure how he's going to coordinate. Last round he personally delivered. But I think he said he couldn't take that much time off work to do that again.

He has two that he needs to have spoken for. I believe he placed the order with the manufacturer, but is trying to get them sold before bringing them over. I don't think he has room to store 50 RTT's. So he's pre-selling them. That was my understanding anyway.

I already paid. I'm looking at doing patches too. I've jotted down some ideas for patches. I just need to make time to sit down with pen and paper and sketch out the ideas. Then I can throw things together in Photoshop or Illustrator.

Not yet, just heard it announced. Patiently waiting the May 2018 release date :hungry:

Contract work sucks like that, going into a job knowing there is an end date. I've done two so far, one with ADP and one with Merrill Lynch. What's worse is trying to get on as a FTE but because of bureaucratic BS it basically can never happen. Good luck on the job hunt man.

Yeah, thanks man. The position is converting to a full-time position. So I had to interview for my own job (5 interviews with 6 people). In the end, they chose someone internal even though I'm literally doing the job today, and have been doing it for the last year. Kinda disheartening.

Internal or external? Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it came down to financial compensation. Typically contracts are wayyy more higher paid than a FTE, since the FTE gets the benefits and what not. They probably felt they couldn't take away compensation for you and found someone cheaper. Regardless, that fucking sucks and I'm sorry to hear it. It hurts the worst when you love the job and the people.

    Per his thread.

"So right now I'm looking for a head count of people that are interested, It takes 40 tents to fill a container. If you are interested I need a city and stateso I can work out my shipment plan of attack."

I made the purchase before learning I didn't get the job. Oh well. I hope to find employment before I'm let go. If not, I may have some time to travel, camp, and freelance to begin 2018.

They are hiring someone who already works for the company. We talked numbers and they said it would be an increase to what I make as a contractor. Which surprised me because, as you said, contractors are often paid more than FTE.

But to be honest, I spend 99% of my time making banners in Adobe Photoshop. That is boring to me. I would much rather be building out a website, maintaining content on a website, doing website usability testing, social media marketing, etc.

    Banner ads:

We've recently transferred most of that work to the creative team for them to make them through Google Web Designer. Like you said, much more enjoyable doing website work rather than banner ads that end up getting blocked or are short lived campaigns. That said, banner ad animation was always fun with stuff like greensock. Hopefully you can find a new position where you can do more site work. The benefit of this career is that there are definitely no shortage of positions and realistically the content/subject doesn't matter. (Though I would love to work for a company like Revzilla or a Offroad company) :p

    LMAO...

Yeah, it would be awesome if I could put these skills to use as a freelancer working for an off-road company. Or somehow partner with them. eCommerce is really becoming a big thing. You don't need to have a huge brick-and-mortar presence. You can have a web presence as long as you can either ship from inventory or dropship from a manufacturer/distributor and offer excellent customer service.
