My OBDII splitter cable and blendmount scangauge mount arrived so I installed both. The blendmount is nice and I can now have both scangauge and PLX gauge up and running simultaneously. Sweet!

The old scangauge location was on top of the steering column but I have this now in that location

How did you route the cable for the scanguage? I moved mine to the steering column but it blocks my view of the odometer and idiot lights. I am considering the blendmount but unsure of how to route the cable.

There's a write up here somewhere. Search for it for With detailed pics. I can't bc I'm on my iPhone. The short of it is u pop off the screw covers off the handle. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the handle. Pop off handle and trim piece. Route cable btwn headliner and roof it's real easy. Then drop the cable down the gap btwn console and wall ( kinda hard to explain without pics) then plug in obd2 port and reinstall everything.

    Custom fab'd tweeter pods. ;)

It brings the sound imaging up and helps center it.

I will have to get used to moving my eyes up to do spot checks of the SG but it's not bad.

PLX is the vendor and they make a really nice set of gauges. The one I bought was the DM-100 OBD which means it has the standard OBD features plus you can add additional sensors to it. For example, I could install boost, AFR, EGT, etc sensors and then you can monitor them all from that one gauge.

The reason why I also wanted to run my Scangauge was it has the xgauge feature which the DM-100 OBD does not so now I can read HP, MAF, AFR, read miles until empty, etc.

If there is a gauge installed in the right steering column pod, will you still be able to reset the trip computer? Curious because I'm thinking about going this route as well.

    -Thanks!

^ Yes you can. There is room. I am planning to add a separate boost gauge there.

^ I think you're right in that it's calculated. From what I've read, it's pretty close.

Thanks. I'm slightly less ignorant. Everyone on TW seemed 2 B using Scangauge. Everything I've done is off TW posts, so I went with Scangauge. I'll have to study more on the PLX 2 C Y I need 1. Looks great. Thanks for the links. Curious George

Just a slight bit o' thread jacking, but can you summarize the differences between the PLX and the Scangauge? I was considering the PLX as it does look better, but it's not clear to me what all one can do that the other cannot.

Looks great, I thought about the blendmount but I didn't want to look up at the rear view everytime. On the steering column its perfect.
