Anyone tried this for a front camera?

Says it works for 2014 to 2017 Tacoma. Looks interesting and includes a camera. Anyone tried it?

Holy cow, so expensive.
Get my cable (HAI cable) for $65 and get a camera for $10. Now you have so much options to do such as media player, camera anytime, smart phone mirroring....

 

But for a 3rd gen right? How about a 2nd gen?

 

Not a bad solution. Several companies out there make kits like this. I have installed plenty of them over the years. Nice when you can activate them via a factory switch of some sort ( different kits activate different ways ).

Oh.... holy cow so expensive?!?!... to some but maybe not others. Your solution might be cheaper but a message to the op.... you can’t have a camera that is $10 be of ANY quality. Promise!!

 

Installed several cables for co-workers on 2014 and 2015. Their Head unit as below:

For Rear Camera, look into ebay, Mainly you wanted a camera with at least 600 tvl and 170° such as this one.
I installed a cheap one ($7.00) in my Taco (as an experimental when I r/d and designed schematic for Camera on 3rd Gen) and more than a year later that Camera still works great..

Very interested but since I have a 2015 Entune I don't have AUDIO > Source >A/V.
So how do you view the front camera on this model?

 

You will not see (have) that option (Audio > Source >A/V) until cable is modified by either add-on, adapter cable...etc

 

Ok. So basically if I want only a front camera, I buy your cable harness, buy a camera and hook it up. After that the A/V source option will be available and I can then select that to view the front camera. Do I have that right?

Let me rephrase that explaination:
After hook up the HAI Cable to Head Unit, the A/V source option will be available to use. You can connect any Video, Audio input via Composite cable (RCA Connectors) as needed such as Camera, Media player, Smartphone Mirroring device ...etc.
