Yeah the 3.5 size is easier and more supported. It's great really.

You can't run the solo spindle with anything buy a solo kit. So if I switched it would be the full kit. I don't think Matt makes a spindle for us.

If I did the xlt kit it would be full race truck mod with a 4 link cage and the works. So likely not going to do that haha

And no doubt we are hard on these trucks so shit s gonna break somewhere...haha

Well...I think mine are tweaked haha

But yeah..I know. Why I've considered the solo kit. But really happy with the MCM kit. Could just put in on igor though...that's the problem with owning two trucks haha don't want to sell parts just transfer them

horizontal uniball has its down sides as well. But is a cool kit for sure.

Not cheap though. And same problem with it being held on by the OEM small bolts. Looked at that one hard for a while too.

I haven't really considered it but I've seen it. Looks like a solid design, I love the heim steering modification to avoid bump steer. Not sure how I feel about the lower ball, I like that he arranged them so the force is on the stronger parts of the uniball but @Blackdawg is right, it is still held on by the four little bolts.

In all failures how many have been because of the 4 bolts? Or is just the LBJ that gives?

Depends on who you ask haha, we've seen a bit of both. The ball itself is prone to failure because the thinnest part is loaded constantly. But the bolts have a tendency to either stretch from force or back out, sometimes a combination of the two. Both are avoidable by checking your rig regularly though, I think the bolts have a tendency to be more of a silent killer though because they are a bit undersized (IMHO) for their application.

But the only way to get rid of the bolts is a fully fabbed spindle, correct?

Though I was slightly worried about my own bolts after @Reh5108 said he snapped on in his spindle. How did that even happen Ryan? Over torqued it?

half of mine where the joint. Other half the bolts. 4 total.

Was also part of a rescue that we caught the bolts were in process of falling out mid trail. Used the bolt from the carrier bearing to hold it on and replaced that one with a seat bolt.

so..3 out of 5 times its been the bolts.

I'd agree with that mostly. Still not sure how my latest one happened...
