10mph difference is huge. Something doesn't add up there.

I guess flow rate x amount of time fed... but there’s still some variables that’ll throw that off.

 

265/75r16s are ~32s and will make your speedometer read low.

Combine that with the fact that the speedo from the factory always reads a bit low. (edit for clarity: your actual speed will be lower than what the speedo is displaying) Mine was about 5 mph off from the factory.

It would be interesting to know more accurately what your actual speeds are compared to what the speedometer is showing. I use an Android app call Maverick because it will give a your speed in real time using GPS.

 

I could be wrong but I think that is just for the little rubber tube that goes up to a breather vent only, since this actuator is electrically operated not vacuum. It looks just like the one I replaced on my truck.

If interested PM me, my old one is in a box in my shop, you could just swap the top cover from mine to yours and that would take care of your dilemma.

 

My speedo was high from the factory - ~5-6mph @65mph. (It would read 65 when I'm doing 60 via GPS). Interestingly, putting on the 255/85 R16's (33's) has brought the speedo perfectly in-line with GPS, no new speedo gear needed!

 

Considering that though 32s should make his speedo almost dead on. My 33s make it just a touch high.

Thanks, I think it's the 4.1 gear ratio and I'll have the tire shop confirm it with they lift it. If so, we're going with 265 70 16s and callin it. That should run pretty stock for now.

Are your 33s really 33s? Are mine? Probably not haha

 

Depends on PSI and what width rim you are using too. Skinnier rim pushes the tire taller and wider rim makes it shorter

 

well yeah but then you get the differences from manufatures. And like JD said wheel size and tire pressure.

Im on 255/80s but a 8.5'' wheel30-40psi depending on weather/road conditions.

The end of it. No ones truck is ever the same. Unless its bone stock and untouch and even then it would have to be made around the same time because toyota switched shit all the time haha

 

started truck after sitting 2.5 months. ABS light stays on now.

 

They are all metal lights, that’s why I like em haha. I love the hellas 4000s. And I haven’t heard of the bowls getting ruined in those lights, but it is possible I would imagine

 

So I got a slime air compressor, went to air up my tires one day and after about 10-15 minutes my cigarette lighter lost all power. Fuse is fine, pulled the radio out and checked the connections and they seem fine. Bad cigarette lighter? or any other ideas?
