You'll get rapid clicking in the cab like a bulb is out aka "Hyperflash" from the lower resistance of the LED's if you run LED's.

"necessary"... no, it will still flash, but like @Dalandser said, it'll flash as if you have a bulb out.

I like plate. Saying that my Tacoma has only had a tube bumper on it.

Seriously. I looked through his thread to find out as well, the 4runner with that same bumper might've convinced me that's the one for me eventually. Talking years down the line though haha

Thank you! Yes, Shrockworks...I asked them to add the "support" bars on the sides of the center hoop.

Thanks! That link is to my second truck that is now long gone. On that truck the bumper was still new. On my current (white) truck, it has been repaired and re-powder coated. Here's the link to my current truck's build thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/synergy10s-02-extra-cab-build.287417/

When I first got my truck I was so close to ordering a plate bumper from Elite (still my favorite design). Decided to spend the money on other upgrades first (lift, wheels/tires). By the time I could afford a new bumper, Elite was no longer an option, Demello (my second choice) and Pelfreybilt (third choice - they have f/r plate bumpers for 1st gens now) didn't have the 1st gen bumpers in production. So it came down to Relentless and Shrockworks.

That 4runner is my brother in laws so I was able to see the Shrockworks bumper in person before placing an order. Definitely a quality build.

I've been eyeing the Shrockworks or 4xinnovations bumper. They are my current favs. I'm really digging the rolled top edge of the bumper on both.
The support bars look great on there. And your BIL's 4runner looks super nice. The Shrockworks bumper looks great on there.

Yeah, the 4xinnovations does look good too. I remember All Pro's apex bumper was another one that I liked. I just didn't want to have to run their skid plates.

    Thanks again man!

I'd wager All-Pro is either really good at running the books or is relying on data that doesn't exist. I see so many people say exactly what you just said, they either wouldn't buy their bumper because they had to run their skids or vice versa. Makes me wonder if they're just really inept and don't see the propriety is causing them to sell less, or if they've actually run the numbers and combined sales is enough to equal or surpass if they were to make them universal. My guess is they don't have the data (many small-medium fab shops don't have someone who can) but they think the propriety is making them more. Just something I always found interesting about their business

Yep the allpro bumper would be on my short list if I hadn't just bought new skids.

That's a great observation. I'd think they'd sell more too if you can run even the oem skids as you alluded to.

They can barely get the bumper to line up with the stock attachment points. You want that AND be able to fit a stock skid? Pssh, you're a hard one to please...

Haha, see they already need to retool their jig, perfect time to make it work with stock based skids too.

Did you grind down and sand the welds?

Meh, didn't sand them. Just ground them down, wiped with acetone, primed and painted. Sanding definitely would've given it that 'finished' look but i think it looks fine after only just grinding.
