First truck can be found here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-02-taco.287417/

It has since been put back to stock and now my dad owns it. He's always been a Chevy guy but seems to love the Tacoma ever since taking ownership. He still has his 77 Chevy Stepside that he plans to further build (his 3rd or 4th one now...others were either stolen or lost in an accident).

    Onto my current truck

It's a 2002 Double Cab Limited that I purchased back in May of 2015 from the original owner. It had 113,500 miles at the time of purchase and currently has around 130k miles.

I was able to swap almost all of the parts from my extra cab onto this truck. Luckily my brother in law was able to help me with majority of the work.

Thanks! Rack came together with spare parts I had laying around and was supposed to be a temporary thing. Still love the wheels...couldn't justify spending tons on a set of Volk TE37x's to beat up.

Are you planning on replacing the flares? Or just cover up the holes? I would like to take mine off because I think it looks SO much better without them. I'm just concerned about having those holes.

At first I was all for blacking out the flares (I even purchased a used set of black flares already) and either color matching or blacking out all the chrome pieces. Then I thought, I'll just repair my color matched flares (well, just one of them is scratched up) and throw them back on.

I really can't decide, but I don't plan to cover the holes up at all. If anything, I'm leaning towards keeping it this way or putting my color matched flares back on.

@cbechtold - just subscribed to your build thread as well. Basically what I'm shooting for with my truck but with some minor differences.

How is the Icon setup treating you? I'm going to install Icon shocks this weekend (thanks again @Ritchie) and would like to see how they ride with my toytec coilovers up front. If you were closer it would be nice if I were able to compare the two setups before deciding on a new set of Icon coilovers.

I've been loving the Icon setup. Does everything very well. I need to get the AAL for my Dakars because of all the weight in the rear.

Great to hear! I've been wanting that setup based on all the reviews and first hand experience with them. Are you getting the AAL's for more load carrying capacity or does it sag in the rear unloaded? I plan on purchasing a CBI rear bumper and their bed rack as well...currently the rear of my truck is slightly higher than the front and is pretty stiff unloaded.

Little bit of both. I'm pretty sure I'm maxing out my leafs with a 200lb bumper, 100lb spare, 80lb bed rack, and 150lb RTT... I don't want to ride on my bump stops on the trail. I'm pretty sure that adding the AAL shouldn't make it much stiffer.
