My blower fan circulate keeps turning itself off

Morning Tacoma world, I'm requesting a little bit of help on this one, electrical and HVAC really isn't my forte. Essentially since the cold snap, the day before it was 80 today it's 40, my air conditioning recirculate keeps turning itself off.

I put the truck on recirculate and it will recirculate the cabin air for about 10 minutes and then it'll switch back to drawing in freezing air in from outside the cabin. Any ideas?

 

You can do a wiring mod and make it completely manual - meaning it stays in whichever setting you put it in

Or possibly if you hold the button in for 5 seconds it won’t switch back. I think that is a feature if I recall but not 100% certain.

I can’t test the 5 second hold feature cause I did the wiring mod a few years ago.

The hold it for 5 seconds thing, seems to have worked, however I've never noticed it turning off like that on me before. Have I just not been observant or did something change because of the temperature I wonder.

There’s also a mod to turn air temp to fully max cold and NOT have the AC compressor turn that is helpful.
