Is there any way to change the settings so I can scroll radio stations etc while driving? It really pisses me off that I can't look at my radio stations while driving....

I can scroll through all presets and inputs using the mode and up/down steering wheel controls. I thought these were present on all trim levels.

Not while you're driving. At some point (think of all the channels on XM) you get a message that you can continue to review list when the car is stopped.

Hmm.. OK. I have never tried to scroll though more than my presets. :notsure:

Frankly, I typically listen to Pandora in my truck. :D

I tried XM twice during the free trial and from my perspective it was/is just a waste of money. Much like most of the cable movie channels, even if you could get it cheap, unless there is a particular show that you can not get elsewhere, think GoT, Madmen, etc. Pandora as well as many of the other offerings stream free over my HU and are tailored to my listening interests. :D

When I killed XM, thinking of just unplugging the XM module from my HU, I reduced the presets to 8 or 16 so only my FM options show.

My biggest complaint is how to remove the things like XM, IheartRadio, etc that I never listen to, from my mode scroll. Maybe I will track a solution for that one day. I think pulling the XM module will at least drop one off my options.

    Best of luck.:hattip:

Navigation override switch will do exactly what you want.

You’ll have to search this forum for it. You get an adapter harness and add a switch to make the head unit think you are stopped.

Might also be in the for sale section too.

Are you wanting to use what is known as "seek" to go say 91.3, 91.5, 91.7 etc? If so just press up or down and hold it for a second on the steering wheel.

It's VERY annoying with XM as I just bought XMs trial and found it locks me into a genre and I can only use the steering wheel to scroll through a few channels before it resets me back to the channel I started at.

That wasn't what you were asking about though, right?
