Installed the harness and bulbs recommended by @crashnburn80 in this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-headlight-upgrade-not-led-or-hid.398066/ and cleaned and polished the housings with meguiars headlight polish, also found a color matched grill local for cheap

 

Gave the truck a bath today and messed with rc cars

 

Ha! I power washed all the salt off mine today even underneith then hand washed. So, of course, now it's raining. Rc's are cool

 

That's why I washed the truck hoping for some rain.

 

Squirted a little WD-40 into my door and tailgate key slots. Super easy preventative maintenance item that is often overlooked.

 

Well I did my truck, my wife's RAV4, and my DD so I was doomed from the beginning I guess. Thw truck will sit here so it'll be ok but she'll drive hers to work so it'll be covered in salt again

 

Whats it do, i use fob to unlock

 

good idea! If you want to lube your door hinges use WD40 also or something equal not white lithium greese like alot do as it just gunks up and holds dirt

 

Going w an 18" light weight spring. We'll see if it was a good idea or bad..

 

Keeps all those little moving pieces lubricated and working properly. A little WD-40 a few times a year and you will never have an issue with a key slot.

 

Wife went Christmas shopping and left me home alone. Had to kill some time between football games so I quickly did the HomeLink style mod. Works like a charm and no more remote to rattle around.

 

Pro- you own it and aren’t paying interest to a bank and can pay yourself for future purchases
Con- not aware of any unless you are depleting your savings or borrowing from somewhere else

May also add 10hp when paid off by not dragging the loan with you.
