I have come to realize there is a ton of new technology in brake controllers than the older ones I am use to. That one looks really good though, I have heard good things about that brand in general.

I hear ya... back when I raced mountain bikes for a living we were coming down that way in the team bus and a car in front of us had an issue and their bikes decided to auto eject and our bus couldn’t stop fast enough and .... well you get the point

Yeah we watched around 80g in trailer, car, and gear go flying down the mtn. Not a good day that's for sure. That would be a site to see bikes auto ejecting.

couple weeks ago i swapped in a set of LED headlights on the 4Runner, they're great! nice bright over regular H3 halogen in stock housing, no real issue with on coming traffic.
problem I've got, the high beam indicator on the cluster no longer illuminates when high beams are on. been looking for a good schematic, though i suspect it is a resistance issue (lack there of actually) causing the light to not illuminate .

anyone else had this issue with LED ?

had same issue when i tried HID lights as well, but they were in the truck all of 20 min so it was a non-issue.

    '97 SR5 5spd V6 4wd 4Runner

i've been considering the same bulbs for the Tacoma as well, figure the same issue will arise.

    Brainiacs ?

If you can find the schematic that would be good. Did you try swapping back to see if it lights back up. As far as I know that is not a resistance based indicator but comes on when the switch is activated.

I thought it was "switch based" as well. I would think even if there were no bulbs in there the indicator would come on

yep, it was working prior to the swap, i intentionally check that as i suspected it was going to be an issue

@T4RH33L did you have any issues when you changed your bulbs?

I have never seen any resistance based indicators like that.

Boys and girls, lets be sure our spouses are aware of the current scam going around where they call and tell you "a family member has been in an accident and we need info or money"
Wife just got this call a little while ago, she was aware of the scam and led the caller a along enough that he cussed her out and hung up on her.
Just make sure the people important to you are aware that ina REAL emergency they won't ask for that info over phone.

    Your PSA for the day

A friend of mine got called like this last week, when he challenged them the story changed to a hostage situation with someone in the background calaling his name screaming for help.

The scumbags are trying hard they are !

We just don't answer the phone unless it's a number that we know. If it's an unknown number if you don't leave a message you must not have anything important to say.

If it does go through the headlights first then why when one highbeam is dead does the highbeam indicator still work the circuit would be open then? I'll find a good wiring diagram because the logic isn't making sense if that bulb were in a series circuit and the loads from the LEDs were less then less voltage drop which would mean the indicator should be brighter.
I got an email scam about pedophiles so parents be aware of this one as well!

I used to be that way til I opened this business.. I’ll let my wife know. Her google phone usually is spot on when spam callers call—the number comes up red and says potential spam. Hasn’t been wrong yet. Kinda cool, wish my IPhone had that feature

Yea it seems like a really awesome phone. If I wasn’t attached to the iPhone cause I have the MacBook for work, I’d switch over to it
