I did a bunch of photoshop stuff for that guy awhile back lol. I've had some parts to build a rear bumper sitting in my garage for awhile but it's not a priority right now. Probably a spring project.

It’s not leaking? Low on fluid possibly? Although, it lives a rough life right? Landscaping?

The funny part is I called the dealer a couple months ago to have the trans serviced and they told me to wait until it hit 100k. No leakes and it does have a factory trans cooler, but yeah I think between wheeling and towing a 6x12 trailer with lawn mowers has made it a stressful 97k.

Yeah, I have a big B&M cooler with a fan. Even that doesn’t matter if you don’t monitor the temps while towing. I’m sure you do, but just saying.

Whats it doing? Last year After a day wheeling and going through numerous deep pewp water holes and the slabs back and forth i developed some torque converter shudder. (not sure if that day is what caused it or it was just the final straw) 140k here. Did a drain and fill every oil change after (maybe 3 times) just to get it cleaned out and added some lubegard with the 3rd change and its better. Only shudders every full moon when its cold but scan gauge tells me temps and everything are in order.

Haven't seen much on here about the torque converter locking up but saw this problem on ttora a bunch and often guys said they did a flush or put an additive in and it eventually cured their problems.

I slipping out of gear and will not go back in. I was on the parkway yesterday morning on my way to work and I felt the trans slip one at 75 mph then it was fine. Then last night on my way home from work I was on the parkway I felt it slip again. I got off at my exit and stopped at the first light and as I was slowing down it felt like I was in the brakes. Once I came to a complete stop I had to give a lot of gas to get it to move. About a mile from my house the trans slipped totally out of gear. It went right into reverse when I backed it into my driveway. Last night after I put the kids to bed the truck sat for a couple hours I when out and hooked the scan gauge up to see if it was throwing any codes and nothing. So I decided to go for a quick run through the neighborhood to see what it would do and it seemed to be shifting fine. I thought I would try running down the main rd to see if I would shift through all the gears and it seemed to shift fine. Then it started making a loud winning noise then it slipped out of gear and it wouldn't go back in. I ended up gimping home on the shoulder of the road. I would have to shut the truck off and let it sit for a few minute then start it back up and it would go back into gear long enough to get it to coast a few hundred feat until I got home then I had to push it into the driveway. I haven't done much wheeling this year, North East Takeover was my only trip and the trans never showed any signs of slipping until yesterday. I'm going to run up to the local trans guy today and see if I can get it towed up. IMG_0687.jpg
 Looks like I will be driving this for a while.

Yeah I camped every night except the last two nights in TN. Had to skip out on a last part of my adventure in AR to spend more time in NM. The hard part of it though is that even if you find a cool place to camp, you don't really have daylight to enjoy it if you leave even at like 5 AM. I guess you will have a better shot in the summer though. I originally was going to leave NJ at 5 AM Friday, but that would have put me at Shawnee by 7 PM with no gas stops. So getting in and setting up at night, only to need to be on the road again by 6:30 PM the next day. So if you do go this route, just find a small state forest to at least camp in (fuck a parking lot with no fire) but don't expect to be able to check shit out. Since I did my overnight drive I was able to actually check the forest out a bit, though the waterfall I came for was dry.

I really dig that map you routed out, can you send me the gpx files maybe? That's essentially what I am hoping to do in 2019.

Sometimes the solo shit is more fun. Something that makes my heart race going solo. And every time I did stop at a bar or restaurant I made friends lol

    Jelly.

Sooo my power went out while I was in the shower and all my routes are gone... cool.

Ill send the gpx to you when I redo it, I wasn't super happy with it for one reason, I decided it'd be best to take 550 up to Ouray after poughkeepsie gulch so that Id be able to start at the bottom of both imogene and black bear. But Id much rather find a connecting trail. You can essentially just cross 550 and go up black bear, but you'd be going down into telluride rather than up out of it, which didnt seem like the way to do it to me. There's also an interesting looking loop that goes past bridal veil falls that might be cool to camp at. But Ill send you whatever routes I come up with for sure. The real goal for me personally would be to go from Pikes Peak to Moab almost entirely off road.

Dude that sucks! What are you using to make the route? I know I probably mentioned this before but if you are planning on doing Moab at all, I would make it a dedicated trip and the CO passes a dedicated trip. Unless you have like a month then I'd say I'd be incredibly jelly.

I wold put money on it's leaking coolent into the transmission from the trans cooler. I would be able to check that if the dam thing had a trans dip stick.
