Looks great! Just ordered black inserts for my 18 cement. Cool to see a pic before they arrive. Looks great. Black really stands out great against the cement. Where'd you get that TRD emblem for the grill?

Nothing new today, but before the holidays threw together a Pooch Bench for the access cab for the traveling. Holds up well. Just a few legs mortise/tenoned into a sheet of cheep pine. Made a couple of small feet up on the bench so it sits overtop of the center console.

Currently derping my bumper and my wheels.

Lessons learned - when in doubt, use more paper and more painters tape to mask the area to prevent overspray on the body of the truck. Nothing a rag and some WD-40 can't fix, but it adds another 15 minutes of work to the ordeal.

Derping the wheels is going to take a while since I only have the Toyota provided jack and I am doing one wheel at a time.

If you struggle with the WD-40 at all, letting Goo-Gone sit for a couple of minutes does a great job.

I was born in Oregon and lived there until I was 5 or so, then we crossed the river!

The downside of living in a big(ish) city is I have a Walmart (almost literally) in my back yard :(

Ive seen a guy paint his wheels while on the truck using a deck of cards... stuck them in between the wheel lip and tire.

    Looking good so far.

I'm sorry to hear that... I enjoy my new location here in Missoula its a good size big enough to have modern amenities small enough that the woods are 5 mins behind my house. Hard part about here is just finding a good job. Thats what the big city's offer...

I was looking at YouTube videos and they were showing how you could use a garbage bag and index cards to protect behind the wheel. But with how small the openings were for the rims I couldn't get full coverage behind the wheel with the bag and opted to just remove the entire thing.

Its good practice anyway for me. Growing up, I never tinkered around with cars so all the stuff I have been doing to my Taco is a learning process. So far I've gotten the hang of installing interior lights, basic speaker replacement, and derping. These are all skills I wish I was taught when I was younger, but its better to learn now than never at all.

Thanks. Got the TRD emblem on Amazon for like $7.99. You can get one with silver or black mounting hardware to blend in nicely depending on the grill color you have.

Makes sense. Thats the dilemma I go through all the time. Move to a place thats harder to live in and make more money, or stay where I live play hard in a place I love but make less money..

Over in Billings, good to know that mileage is crap across the board up here, lol. Mine is hovering around 14mpg, mostly city as of a couple of weeks ago since it got really cold/the snow started.
