What speed did you sign up for from Google? I would expect better. And you're using Google's WiFi router? Numbers will be different for everyone and there's always congestion that'll affect your results. That said, I pay for 100 MBs symetrical and after testing on my phone I got 93.8 down and 63 up. (Disappointed... up is usually better). If you're paying for faster speeds I'd check your router configuration. Best way to check is to also use a hard line. Checking speeds over wifi will generally result in lower speeds, especially if you're limited to b/g/n

Agreed, your router may not support what you are paying for as well your device may not support the speed as well. Hard line is always a better connection.

The fiber 1000. The hard line test was around 800 both up and down. Wi-Fi was high 200's. That was on the installers chromebook I think. Honestly I'm think I need to either update my current stuff or just get new devices. I expect better too however I havent had any lag yet or buffering with my xbox and firestick. I'm happy with that for now.

Yeah only one connected to the hard line is my office computer. Sent a cad file and downloaded one while I made a hot pocket. Lol I'm thinking of running hard line though my wall into my bedroom when it gets warmer.

I’m spoiled, got to route pathways in the house when we built it, all comes back to one loacation so every room has the choice of a hard line plus coax. I also have no box on the outside of the house, installed a conduit from the house out to the street, from there I bring it in.

I believe to take advantage of the fastest wireless speeds you would need devices that support 802.11ac. Ive got google fiber and try to use it as much on wired lines more than anything else. Over 100 or around 100 on wireless is more than you would really need. If you are doing massive file transfers, just do it from a wired line to get the full speeds.

I have around 950 up and down on wired and am using the google network box. I’ll have to see what I get on my WiFi macs. The work one is newer and iirc, gets About 200 in wifi

That sounds exhausting and cold. Was it at least a Toyota dealership? I just got to work about an hour ago, 11 more hours to go

What dealership? And yeah on nights until like the second week of January then back to days on duty driver on the 11th. Not worried about the long shift though, got the 32oz tumbler filled with coffee from Mexico
