I don't trust the pin switches for under-hood, I prefer a manual switch. The under-hood environment is a dirty one, even for mall-crawlers. I hate the thought of the switch getting dirty and stuck in the on position.

No, I didn't. I may pick one up anyway, as the hood pin switch for my alarm recently fell apart from corrosion.

@BenTheMan has a weatherproof switch for his hood lights, and that'll be the route I take as well:

    20170408_232344.jpg

I'd like to turn the hood lights off when I'm detailing the engine bay, that way I don't drain the battery with the lights constantly on.

....or I should just get a dual battery setup :notsure:

Nice!! i have one of those also, not going to use it though.

I can just hit the breaker on my blue sea setup and it will kill the aux lights when detailing

Love the simplicity of that setup

That being said, I haven't heard of a pin switch getting dirtied up and stuck, so YMMV.

LOL!!!! Has to be one in a junkyard near you!!!

Totally, trying to really get this truck 'finished' up.

Aesthetically, she's in a good place.

Just a couple little odds and ends ya know.

Toyota trucks don't exist in junk yards round here man.

Hen's teeth. And a premium price if you do find one.

People drive em til they fall apart, literally. Then they most likely get scrapped/crushed.
