Yeah, I just freaked when I saw it and had to post lol. That is really cheap though since I will end up just over 1000 when it is all said and done w/ 881's and 5100's

I wonder if the discount we get with wheelers is enough to bring the price on the coils down below this:

That's such a great deal, I would jump all over that if I were you!

Well Wheelers selling those same coils for $153 and TRD has them at $138. I think in order to get that price on coils from Wheelers your going to have to buy more from them IE: 5100's, install pack, Various replacement bushings, etc. I don't know though, you should try to work that out with them whenever you call to order your leaf packs. I'm sure they will work something out with you, maybe free shipping!!!

Yeah, if they want my business enough they will cut a deal.
I do wish I could get that suspension kit minus the springs. That 2.5" of rear lift is too much for the 881's IMO. It will have a pretty significant rake.

I know, I saw those too! Im confused now:confused:.
Im thinking that with those, you would need at least 3" in the front to make the truck level though. The Wheelers 5 leaf springs only give 1.5" so leveling should be easier.

I found greaseable shackles at rockymountainsuspension.com (Daystar 1.25" lift) for $83 a set. I understand that you will actually only get half of the lift stated for the shackles if your shackles are at the correct angle.

    no truck now :(
Stock length shackles and the 5 pack will let you load the truck to capacity too. If I remember correctly, shackle lifts actually hurt the weight carrying capabilities of the truck because of the risk of having the spring/shackle reverse.. or something like that.

I'm still debating on new shackles... the old ones look alright.. but... sigh...

can anyone please measure your stock shackles, center of bolt to center of bolts. I want to see exactly how much bigger these shackles are. Please!!

I have just installed a set of OME leaf springs CS019R on my 97 TACO. If your Taco is this old , you will need shackle bolts for the front fixed shackle ( prefer greaseable). The rear shackle bolts will be frozen/rusted in so removal will be a pain. It's easier if you just remove them with the spring and install new greaseable ones. Stock can be found at Toytec or Wheelers or Rockymountainsuspension.com has Daystars 1.25" lift. After removing the tire, cover the brake line with a thick rag or pad of sorts. The shocks are easier to remove while the u-bolts are tight. The drivers side will be nearly impossible to get to due to the gas tank (2 1/4" max clearance) so if you get it to a shop with a lift and have them break it loose then re- tighten it for you this will be much easier ( Mine with a pipe wrench) destroyed the nut :). The nuts require 19mm and 18mm through out and 12mm for the exhaust hanger. You will need a breaker bar. You will not need an extended brake line. You can loosen the opposite side u-bolts to allow the axle to move slightly for an easier fit up of the new springs ( mine due to a lift).

My front TOYTEC coilovers took 15 min to install. (easy)
Lifted leafs--- hours every nut was frozen.

    Good luck

The Daystars have a bar in the middle to prevent flipping.

DTRD, did you get the daystar shackle or you using the stock ones with your new leaf spring set?

I got the Daystars and removed a leaf from the OME set. Will see how it looks after a few days of settling and will post pics.

Scary, but after the worn out stuff removed and the Toytecs installed I gained 3.5". Hope it settles a bit but may have to adjust the front down a little.

I was 35" at center of fender and now over 38.5" with diff drop. Wish I new what the factory height was. Does look good though.

Ok, your probably fine since you have a diff drop and your factory suspension was probably sagging before.
