    Hey Guys/Gals:

I need some assistance on deciding which leaf springs I should purchase. I have researched which springs there are but i cant really find reviews. i have signed up for the group buy, but unsure what to do.

I currently have 3.5" fab tech coil overs on the front with daystar 1.25" shackle in the rear with sagging OEM leaf springs. so if you guys could give me you recommendation and reasoning, that would be great!! (Again i have the 1.25" shackles so not sure if i need the factory shackles on some leak packs)

    Lifts 2.25" - $300

    Deaver

    8-pack for 1.5" lift - $600 Alcan

yes, you need new leafs and you need to lose the shackle lift, at the point it's only making things worse.

what do you want out of new leafs? lift, hauling, offroad performance and flex?

    getting there....
go with the wheelers 5 pack. you'll gain a lil extra lift, and your ride will improve....and you wont be losing any hauling capacity. plus....they are made by alcan spring company for wheelers.

I recently installed the ome dakar leaf pack and so far i'm really pleased with them. They seem to be really good all around if you need to haul anything.

I want the new leafs to lift my truck to level out the 3.5" coilovers. also flexing would be nice when i off road. also why should i ditch the shackles? do they really do more harm then good?

ya these caught my eye since they are only 300 bucks!!! do they really lift 2.25"??

Yes! the shackles do more harm then good. They actually wear out your leaf packs quicker. So I would get a leaf pack that will give you atleast a 2" lift, and get new stock shackles. You will increase your ride quality greatly!

Yeah the ass end of my truck is sitting pretty high, i'm sure that after a few months and wheeling trips it'll settle down. The leaf pack itself is only 300, but by the time you get new shocks/u bolts/ extended brake lines/ bushings and last but certianly not least shipping. It wound up costing me 700 total w/ shipping.

ok well out of the selection provided above what do you recommend??

going back to stock shackles and a wheeler 5-pack?? thats only 1.5" lift

or OME Dakar pack with stock shackles?? 2.25"lift

im not sure what my coilover are set at so im not sure how high the front end is. currently my truck sits at 38-1/4"

On one side of the spring they are, the other side you have to grease and install them yourself.

I think your close to 3" lift up front. Bc your running a 32" tire, you might be a little bit higher. But I think that you could get away with the 1.5" lift in the rear, and you may be close to level. Are you lokking for a rake? Rear a little bit higher? or not... And do you haul any weight? If so you might want to get the Dakar's.

im looking for level, but i dont mind a slight rake. i dont haul anything, have a xtra cab with a llow pro box in the back, and occasionally have sh*t in the back. the most ill loaded is stuff to move from house to house..... also im going to be getting 285/75r16 soon if that matters....

ok i guess it between these two....

going back to stock shackles and a wheeler 5-pack?? thats only 1.5" lift - $390

or OME Dakar pack with stock shackles?? 2.25"lift - $300

which would be best to level out my 3.5 fabtech coilovers?

Well If you got your front at or around 3" of lift, I would do the OME Dakar pack. It would give you a more level look.

I don't think you said how much you want to spend? If you went with Alcan's you could get a set custom made for exactly what you want. I had them and they make a quality spring and will listen to your exact request.
