Do you have any good photos to show the light output for these?

So what's the word on the list you posted from Amazon? How did it all work out?

Ya. I'm scrolling through entire thread and can't find the outcomes. Looking for more cost-effective solutions?

@Parker315 posted pics of his decisions and so far his choices are the cheapest, most bang for the buck. I thought. I have most of what he is going with in my cart except for the license plate lights which I also have in my Amazon cart. Oh, and I also have some Festoon style bulbs in my cart for the Vanity lights, the ones for the mirrors in the sun visors. I figured for the price, what the hell.

So basically this is what have that is different than what @Parker315 shows:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077PT8DGJ/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3I217EW1MCP3S

I am going with the 10 pack becuase you can use these for the side marker turn signal lights in the headlamp assembly and I can use them on my Lexus license plate lights too.

    Here's the Festoon style:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076QBMRL1/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2EGWPS944NQ2N

But I have not verified these are the exact OEM replacements yet.

Quick update of the Lasfit bulbs. Very impressed with how bright these are! Very happy with the purchase!

Check out the post I made a couple pages back. I’m very pleased with the setup I have and the lights are still working great! When @RobP62 gets all his in he can vouch for how well these lights work.

I too did VLED Micro a while back. I like them a lot. Started a thread about it here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/h9-halogen-pic-vs-vled-micro-pic.522364/

I’ve had a lot of lighting alternatives in the recent past including a nearly $2k retrofit with Osram Nightbreakers with 55w ballasts in my F150 and these LEDs are close in comparison, especially for the price as compared.
Ran Rigid SAE fogs for a few years too. Lots and lots of light and lumens.

Thanks for this. I’m running VLEDS in almost every single socket on my truck. Only missing the LB/HB and front side markers as I can’t get my hands in there.

    I went HID for LB.

I’ll be going micro when the time comes. Looks awesome. Hoping they do one more upgrade to the model to push me over the fence.

I wonder how hard it is to get the headlights out to get those side markers in......

    You're welcome.
I'm a bit of a "tinker-er", so I've changed up the lighting on nearly all my vehicles. The '13 F150 was the most extensive. Hell I've even added a Rigid SRM to the underside of our MDX triggered by the reverse signal to aid with rear visibility when backing up. Really brings the rear camera to life.
Retrofit was awesome, but 55w ballasts put out an immense amount of light, so much in fact that the contrast between lit and unlit was so severe that it made it challenging for the eye to adjust. I ended up selling the retrofit and settled on Osram CBI bulbs in the factory projectors ('13 Platinum came with OEM projector housings) and Rigid SAE fogs. Ended up selling the fogs and went with a knockoff Morimoto XB clone that worked well for the cost.

I liked the H9 conversion in our trucks actually. A lot of usable light for a halogen, but after having LEDs in the MDX and the HIDs in the F150, I just couldn't get right with the "look" of the halogen from behind the wheel. These Micro's seem to be fitting the need quite well. 100% plug and play. Gives more than adequate foul weather lighting (drove 3+ hours home in the dark in the raining wintery mix in VA a couple weeks back). I'm still running halogens in the fogs, but have opted to go with Philips Crystal Vision Ultra for a more white hue in a halogen. Still the H11 bulb. Seems a decent compromise between looks and function and no glare.

BTW, I'm lifted 6" on a drop bracket and 35"s...so proper aim was a high necessity. 2" drop at 24 feet and I'm not being flashed...but small cars at stoplights sure do hate me :laser:

New to this thread and new to Toyota. Anything electric and I are "not compatible" so I tend to stay away from doing anything that has anything to do with electricity! Been zapped several times with the last zap knocking me on my posterior about 4 feet from where I was standing!:eek: Been reading this thread and it has me confused, which isn't real hard to do lately! Few years ago I ran out of Chi-Raq to a rural area, city boy out in the country! I' like to upgrade my stock Tacoma headlights, fog light, and tail, turn and back up lights. "It's dark out here!" :) I'm confused as to what lights to use. I need something bright, but not blinding bright that will piss of an oncoming driver. Something simple, so my lack of electrical compatibility doesn't fry my truck! Are the LEDs a brighter light than the HIDs and what is this "hyper flashing" I keep seeing mentioned? Is there one specific HID/LED that is preferred over others?

Welcome to the thread sir. I'm sure you can tell just from this last page alone without even reading the whole thread that everyone has there own opinion when it comes to LED and HID lighting.

As far as application and ease of installation goes, LED is much easier, the bulbs last twice as long, and they have a lower power draw. Currently I am using LED and I am more than satisfied and I'm using some pretty inexpensive bulbs. Link to my setup here. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-lighting-conversion.436865/page-52#post-16878481

Here is another link I posted in the day time https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-lighting-conversion.436865/page-52#post-16896859

and here is the last link I posted showing light output. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-lighting-conversion.436865/page-53#post-16900011

A lot of guys have gone with the VLED bulbs and seem to be very happy with that. They are a bit pricey, but I am considering maybe trying them out in the future. Here is a link to those.
    http://www.vleds.com/shop-application/application-low-beam/h11-h8-h9/micro-h11-h16-h8-h9.html

Here @tekoma used the lasfit LED bulbs which I also installed on my wife's Rav4 and they are great bulbs. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-lighting-conversion.436865/page-55#post-16916254

Bottom line your going to get a lot of feed back and opinions as to what is the best. My advice, research, read reviews, and find out what you feel is best.

@Parker315 If you do end up trying out the VLEDs...let me know how they are compared to what you have now. I'm pretty satisfied with my HIKARI low beams...I feel like they would be hard to beat. I notice VLEDs has a 100% money back guarantee...it's tempting to just try them out and see if they are brighter.

Yeah, I like my Hikari as well. I'm just really curious if a $150 bulb is better than a $50 bulb. If I end up doing it I will take some detailed photos and post them here.

You know it’s hard to say. I’m gonna be doing some tests with @rlx02 regarding posts #69 and #70 on this thread
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/brighter-headlights.528449/page-4#post-16936766

During this test I will snap a pic with the AuxBeam F-16’s in the low beam projector housing then put the Hikari in the low beam projector housing and see if I can tell a big difference. That’s a good question. Give me a day or two...
