As expected, MPG continues to drop but not enough to complain about. A friend of mine, @JerryTaco, put together a really good writeup thread that answers any and all questions about 4.88 gearing. Check out the link below.

Got to drill fenders and hood. Strongly suggest using drill stops to prevent drilling too deep. Also use a quality rivet gun. Rough riveting upside down with a crap gun.

My custom body graphics arrived today, 4 days late, but no biggie. I spent a few hours installing it and I thought is turned out pretty nice. I thought "cool, my truck has unique feature and will stand out".
So I go out for a drive and to get some gas and WTF?!?!?!, I see DOZENS of people driving around with my very same graphic. The money spent, the time to install it PERFECTLY, I almost cried.
I am SO glad I got the $12 delete option. So that's what I did, I used the delete option and removed my "custom" graphic. Here are some pictures with the graphic installed and then after I used the delete option.

    "Custom" Graphic Installed....

I don't know, just seems it lost it's originality. Just in case you were wondering, the custom graphic kit was "Mid-Atlantic Road Salt". If anyone is interested in it I'll sell you mine at 50% plus shipping. ;)

I wonder if some of it is the loss of leverage being that you are pushed so far forward by the big empty grill area ? :notsure:

Your picture makes it look like the hoop sits up higher giving an open slot to that bottom hole in the grill where tomorrow's light bar will go ! :D

Each of the 4 brackets requires (2) 3/16" holes. I would shy away from using a plasma torch and just stick with drilling the holes. Welding the brackets on is an option too, but again, use a drill.
When drilling into the hood I would recommend using some type of stop to keep you from drilling too deep and damaging the hood. 6 - 8 wraps of tape about 1/4" up from the business end of the drill bit should be good.
You will want to use a good rivet gun. The rivets supplied are steel not aluminum and are more difficult to pop (I used a pneumatic gun - very nice). I would not recommend substituting aluminum rivets as they may loosen and fail over time. Measure, mark bracket location, measure again, mark the holes, measure again, then just before you drill, remeasure to make sure. The entire installation should take no more then 30 minutes.

Been a long day. It took me a couple minutes to catch on...
I used a similar delete option. There's nothing better looking than a shiny taco (other than a mud covered taco!)
