This sound annoys the f**k out of me. I hope I can get this fixed. I had them look at it once and they said they could not duplicate it, so they didn’t fix it. The second time I brought it up during service, one of the guys said “Oh, that’s coming from the mirror. Camry’s do it, too. Nothing we can do to fix it.”

I just put some silicone lube along my strips, cut the sound almost completely out, still there but faint! As for the wind coming through I think the new weather strip and adjustments got rid of that, I was just left with the sound of the seal rubbing on the door frame.

Just got the final verdict on crosswind noise on my Tacoma Thursday. The verdict was that the noise cannot be fixed due to the design of the cab. I can easily replicate it by pushing on the top of the window when driving 60+. The crosswind pressurizes the cab, according to Toyota. Service manager replicated it. Its a Toyota Tacoma feature. Too many Tacoma features like this.

Out of curiosity, how did you apply the dripper tube?

Literally just placed it in the folds of the door seal, a 3rd optional tube can be held in place with some RTV, but in my testing only 2 tubes were needed on the two folds that would hold a 1/4in drip line without any glue.

1/4 inch drip line, like for plant drip irrigation?

I am having the same problem with my drivers side door when I go over 80mphs and/or when there is a strong crosswind. Delear said they can't replicate, also said they can't drive my car over the speed limit. But that was a week ago, and I didn't know about this TSB. I am kind of pissed. My back window was leaking water into the cab, they originally thought it was coming from my 3rd brake light, I guess it is a common issue on the 2016s...due to the gasket. I am kinda bummed I am having so many issues.

Yup 1/4in drip line for irrigation.

The little piece i put between front quarter and A post is not necessary, and middle drip line in the door seal isnt either.

Huh? My VA verified "near perfect" hearing does not detect any noise from TacoAzul.

Got mine replaced with no questions asked. Its a tsb and under warranty. For them to say no one else complained is bullshit. They even discovered the lca pluggs and did it as well

Did the same thing on my 2017 today. Appreciate this site dedicated to overcoming the shortcomings of Toyota engineering and service departments. Spent $1.30.

Yup n about 5 min of your time. WAY cheaper than the "free" tsb at the dealer..... that you gotta drop your truck off and hope they get to it in the day.

The tsb says covered under the factory warranty so they may or may not fix it, ...good luck

I mentioned this at my service appointment right now. The respresentative told me there is no TSB for the door seals on my 2017 ... WTF!? I’m waiting in the lobby for my oil change lol .. he took my TSB for the lug nut bolt torque though. I need a print out. These guys are dick heads

There's a screen shot of the TSB in the original post in this thread.

The service rep said “well it’s not coming up on my computer”.

What do I do? Should I go and speak with him again?? Should I mention it at my next service? Should I go to a different dealership? He looked at me like I didn’t know what I was talking about ...

Open up the thread on your phone and show him the first post. It's pretty clear / definitive. Hope that works.
