I freaking hate that hood scoop. I wish they made an option with louvers instead like they do for other models.. I’d buy that in a heartbeat to help with heat soak

This is kinda brilliant, especially since you need to bolt the tool box down anyway.

All of this. Half my wheeling joy came from wheeling this truck stock on clapped out suspension. Only added tires and then went wheeling, then added sliders, more wheeling, then skids and more wheeling, all of this before I even lifted the thing.

Always funny seeing pics like this:

I rocked the stock stuff for awhile, I’m not gonna say I went balls to the wall with it, but I used it.

Still on 31’s with a little lift too.... for now....

i haven't seen it done. But they are supposed to close to the same.

meh. I've taken both my trucks in the dirt on shit suspension haha times a wasting! There are too many dirt roads out there to wait on.

    no shit!

if you just want to do overlanding..you don't need LT at all. Yellowstone stuff there is hardly anything hard at all around here. And the real remote stuff you have to walk in for that area.

Im getting to the point where i want to make it mostly not toyota..

    So much this.

Growing with your build is super important. Constantly changes to suit your needs and wants. Mine has changed tons over the last years.

Ill throw some #tb pics in myself, I was exploring a ton of places when I was stock, got a lift as soon as I had the money and only got tires cuz I blew one of my street tires up. Even wheeled it on a spare, cuz I'm an idiot :D

I purchased sliders from Brian years ago and he was great to deal with at that time. Shortly after I do remember some members asking me for his contact info but they had trouble getting a hold of him.

Last time I received a reply from him was July 2014. Tried to contact him via email Dec 2014 and May 2015 but never heard back.

From what he stated, his "Beefed Tacos" line was going to be his offroad products. He had/has a killer rear suspension setup for lowering 2wd Tacomas (Street Tacos) as well.

I have the 1.5'' one. Seems to work well.
I think i remember when i bought mine he was hard to get a hold of as well. Pretty sure i ordered mine, got it in quick time. Then shortly after that some people had problems getting stuff from him. But that was a long time ago. Seem's he has expanded his lineup now so hopefully all things a good.

I shot him an email this morning and he got back to me. Looks like they are still open for business. Contemplating splurging on a new single-piece driveshaft, but will probably pick this up.

Cool, I hope it bolts right on for ya. You having it coated black? Everytime I have a piece of my truck off for cleaning or maintenance I wanna have it coated a fun color like metallic purple or neon Jade.

Real question though, what kind of cat is that and was it what the trap was originally set for?

Wyoming doesn’t have a limit on how many you can catch and keep so I guess you could say that.

On a sider note, my chemistry professor looks like Bubbles and it’s very distracting.

I hope it does too. Yeah I think I’m going to just do black. The truck is currently black so it’s really the only color that would look good.

What? How are you legally trapping in Wyo being a UT resident?

Mine was good, but the tolerances were extremely tight. It took a little grease and persuasion to get it to slide over the frame.

... And then, we reached Red Pass, the highest point between Titanothere and Titus Canyons.
We understandably ran into a bit of a traffic jam here - a couple in a Jeep enjoying the view
in both directions; three trucks in front of us, taking the turn slow (for reasons we'll get into shortly).

Can't say I blame anyone for slowing down or stopping here. It was amazing...
