    2015 Tacoma TRD Sport DCLB
    Hey guys,
    I've been shopping for months and finally, last week I bought my first Tacoma. I found a 2015 Sport 4WD DCLB with 5000 miles on it. It's awesome! I have been reading through this forum for months and the information here has overwhelmed me a bit. I would like to upgrade a few things on the truck, first and foremost: wheels, tires & suspension. For suspension, I'd like to lift the truck 1-2 inches. I believe that will give me the ability to fit slightly larger tires and also give me the look I'm going for. I've looked at a whole bunch of suspension options from $3k Icon to a $700 Bilstein setup made for Tacomas. It seems like everyone has their own opinions on whats better. I guess a good place for me to start is... What would I guy need to do to turn his Sport into a Pro, minus the lockers(for now)? Would the tires that come stock on a Pro fit on a stock Sport?
    I've tried to find the answers to these questions on the forum, and I'm sure they are there. I just keep going in circles... Thanks guys!

    For wheels, check out SCS. They are made specifically for Toyota's, so you won't be dealing with fitment / vibration issues, that can arise from some other brands. They are lighter than stock, and are reasonably priced. Oh, and they look dope.

    I would take a step back and decide what your end goal of the truck will be. If it's just for looks and maybe a mild trail or two... don't go big unless you want to spend a lot of money without really getting the benefit back. You can get Bilstein 5100s front and rear for about $400-$500 using the stock springs. Absolutely nothing wrong with going this route. Better is a relative term. Better for street, high speed or low speed wheeling. That's something only you can define for your needs. The awesome thing is the Tacoma has a million and one options that can take you in sooo many different directions. That's also a bad thing. You can get lost looking at all this cool stuff. My advice is take a step back and define what you want to do with your truck. You will either save money now or later by doing this. GET A PLAN. IMO a high dollar suspension is not needed for just the street. It's a waste of mony. But that is purely my opinion. To tell you my story, I originally went with the 5100s and 285 tire. It was fine but I didn't originally have a plan and when I did figure thing out, I changed everything that I bought the first time. You can sell some of it but will loose money along the way. Now I have ADS suspension and 35" tires because it fits my needs of how I use the truck. Wish I would have started this way. My two (or ten) cents. Hope it helps.

    Oh... you are not alone. This question has been asked hundreds of times. You may not get a lot of feedback because of it. Just a FYI .

    Look at the Toytech kit, 5100's, springs, and AAL.

    I would say they are the consensus wheel around here.

    @Dufresne Welcome!

    Post a picture of your truck!

    Incase you haven’t found it...up top, click on “You” then click on “TW Live” and you can find the unique email for your account where you can text or email pictures into your user album. If you text and you do not want the picture to post in the TW Live thread...before or after the picture in the same text message type “fat” (for another thread) and the picture will just go into your album then when you want to post, click the camera icon then select the photo and the magic posting elves will put the hyperlink code for your selected photo into your post.

    Again...welcome! And find your local Tacoma owners in the region section and introduce yourself there also!
