I sincerely hope that's just an option, because I can't imagine many people wanting that ridiculous snorkel on their truck. if I were in the market for a Pro, that snorkel would be a deal breaker for me.

All these 3rd gens (V6) were left stranded due to the CPS/CKP issue which eventually became a TSB. This is just a sample. There were several more threads on the CPS issue highlighting the shaky reliability.

Me too. I have to go through car washes since it's frozen 4 months out if the year here, so it would be a definite no. I see they list it as a desert snorkel, that way they can say they didn't market it for water crossings when people ruin their 45k truck.

Look at all the work you put into your jealousy. The hurt runs very deep in you. So deep you spend your night finding links. 3rd Gen is by far, the best Toyota pickup ever made and you know it. That is why I don’t need to spend my time findin links about the dodgy vehicles you proudly own.

    Best Toyota pickup ever made?

LC70 is arguably the best truck they have ever made. Why it hasn't needed an update in decades, pretty much got it right the first time.

Had a snorkel and underbite bumper before it was cool. Ha ha!

It wasn't that much work honestly. Type in CPS in search and it's there. It's better than you blurting out something untruthful like them never being stranded. I just want Toyota to produce a better product.

I just noticed the TRD snorkel attaches to the roof holes where a roof rack would go. Wonder how this is going to work with OEM/Baja/Prinsu etc....

Never heard of the CPS recall. Sounds like they got it all sorted early on. Good on Toyota for resolving a manufacturing defect.....don’t see how that relates to reliability, but if it makes you feel better. For sure!

Looks like a Black Cobra getting ready to strike, just needs fangs and a design painted on the back, lol.

Am I the only one excited about the snorkel? For anyone who wants or needs one, this looks like the best design to come out so far. Contrast with the arguably hideous design of the ARB.

Keep on hearing from a lot of Toyota owners (no matter what generation) that with all the new competition Toyota will step up its' game.

Beside all of the ass-jackery in this thread...pretty much everyone is making fun of the snorkel upgrade on the Pro...and again every little refresh Toyota does is a mild performance upgrade and some new stickers. While most are waiting for something more ground breaking, as Ford teases us with a diesel Ranger Raptor.

Gotta admit, that it is pretty badass both the sheet metal and what is underneath.
