    That Kelty tent was on the list when wife and I were searching for a backpacking tent, we ended up settling on the copper spur.

    If you want to add a different look on the flares:

    Purchase the fender flare clips. Sand down the knub that extends into the flare and install them.

    You can then paint them black or to match the paint of the 4runner and pop them into the holes.

    See here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...the-fenders-after-removing-the-flares.304366/

    LOL

    I don't think you're on the same level as I am.

    I bought the Tundra upgrade kit in October and I have yet to install it.

    In fact, I forgot the kit was in the back of the 4runner this whole time. Still in the original plastic Napa bag

    don't tell @dtaco06 ..

    No winch this time. I’ll do a winch when I build my own frame rails for SAS. The base work of this bumper will be welded to the frame and then access panels of 1/4” aluminum will bolt in

    @LTDSC is definitely the inspiration. But our 3rd gens have less height between the bottom of the diff and the bottom of the grill if that makes sense.

    Wyoming will give wind anywhere a run for for it's money. I have woken up in the middle of the night, having gone to sleep in dead calm, to my stout tent flat on top of me, as well as pulling my raft trailer on an icy road at a solid 45* off the back of the tuck doing 60. You see semis blown over on the side of the interstates up there pretty much every time out.

    No doubt here, wind is pretty much my least favorite weather. Ever.

    @4Running Daily

    Did you ever do rear disc brakes. Saw you were planned on doing it in the how-to thread on T4R. If you have, worth it? How much tinkering have you had to do?
    If not, why'd you decide against it?

    Not worth it. I need an ebrake for 5 speed. Tundra brakes up front are more than you need

    @4Running Daily @AssBurns @4x4runner2002 are there any random size bolts or trick to pulling the entire rear axle off a 3rd gen? Pick n pull just got one in and I’m thinking of trying to get it as both my axle seals are puking oil and be nice to have spare parts.
