I want to lift my new tacoma for light to medium off roading. I have never purchased a lift or suspension for truck before. I see blistens suspensions for sale all the time. Probsbly from the off road model. Would that give me a lift or what are your suggestions?

I did old man emu with Dakar’s and it rides great. It gave me a little over 2” by the time it all settled in.

Same here. I chose the OME lift because of the full leaf spring replacement. Can’t be happier with it.

Should these only be installed if you have issues or are the issues so common one should preemptively install them?

It’s a pretty common issue. You have to tear the front end down anyways to install the coil over so you might as well pull the CV and put the new bushing in it. I’ve never felt any vibes but I did it when I lifted. A lot of guys are avoiding it then having to go back and add it later cause they are getting vibes. It’s a gamble I guess.

I don't know what your definition of "light to med" offroad is, but are you having clearance issues now? Stock suspension is pretty capable.

I planned on going off roading for the first time this weekend. I'm in Arizona, and just want to make sure I don't bang anything up lol

I would suggest you join a local off-road group. Should be plenty there. They can guide you on what you’d need. I’d personally get sliders first. I know how chunky that terrain can be. I’m just north of you in UT. But there are a TON of trails that you can do in stock trim with no problems. Again, join and ask around.
