Good, I was not bashing you. My is Ocd is harsh on my psi. Even with my spares, when needed they go flat.

I also noticed shops set it to specs on the tire not the rigs weight and foot print. Thus causing wandering and exsessive center wear or over inflated. Always had to drop 20lbs at home after the shop. Last dude set them at 80psi.

Cause that was max on the sidewall:bananadead:

Yikes I better check soon. Yeah my dealership sets any tire you roll in on at 29 (what it days on door) , other shops and their entry level workers who knows. Going to see in the morning. Thanks for the info. Best case is they are over inflated , and my ride will soften up, and the wandering ceases.:fingerscrossed:

Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean, but 2k elevation gain and a 15deg temp drop should just about offset each other with respect to tire pressure, no?

I figured by adding 7.25% to total tank distance to get my actual miles traveled then decvide by total gallons for actual MPG.

What tires should I get if I have a 2000 4x4 TRD 3.4v6 5mt? I mostly haul a dirt bike on asphalt or drive in the city, but occasionally will drive fire roads when camping or rock climbing. Do I need new rims? Better mpg would be nice.

Not sure of the ROI of rims vs. MPG.

So my thought is, if you like the rims you have now and don't go crawling, then put the tires on you want and you'll be fine.

Do you need to cut or trim anything with 255/85/16 Open Country M/T on a stock Off Road suspension? Thanks!

I can’t speak for stock suspension but I will say I did rub on plastic and the cab mount while in reverse with a 2” lift.

I'll probably be using this list soon... I get back to the US in 57 days.

Cause the tires were deflated hot off the highway. Then got up in the snow camped then headed down before checking. It dropped to around 12psi and blew a bead.

Will the 255/85/16 fit on a stock 3rd gen suspension? Thanks.

I've read many here who have said it does fit without rubbing. My problem is finding that size in a All Terrain tire, not a Mud tire.

Thanks, bro. Yeah, I wish we had more choices all the way around for AT tires. I’m partial to the hybrid AT tires and had all but decided on getting 265/75/16 in Duratracs and then I see this thread! Now I’m on this skinny kick. I wish I could find someone that has monitored the mpg difference between the skinny tires and maybe stock 16s or 265/75s.
