Sweet looking DCLB! Love the new wheels. That cooper on white turned out to be a nice combo

Super easy. You should be doing it more than you think. So far it feels like it has taken some of the clunkiness out of the drivetrain.

Here’s one thread on it. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/greasing-entire-drive-shaft-u-joints-5-zerks-total.56976/

Here’s the video I watched that explained everything.
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7THVBtFi5lc

The only thing which I couldn’t find information on was what grease to use on the front drive shaft vs rear. I just used the manual’s recommendation of NGLI No. 2 on front and rear. But it seamed like there was a different substance in the front driveshaft. What came out of the fronts was red and the rear was black. Although I only use thre 4x4 about 10% of the time. I think the NLGI #2 will be fine if I start greasing the joints every 10,000mi. I spent like $19 on a grease gun from Walmart and another $5 on the green Lucas oil grease as well.

Yeah. Did a lot of work today and mounted new roof rack and tent to buddy’s rig too. Celebrating completion. But thanks for correction. Mot axle, drive shaft joints.

So by the looks it's pretty hard to screw this up? Pretty straight forward, just pump it until the grease coming out is clear/cleaner?

Just fill it until you start to see grease poke out the more you swell the seals the more chance of dirt infiltrating

Yeah grease till you see new grease then wipe excess so it doesn’t fling every where and on exhaust.

Getting conflicting ideas here- so only grease enough until ANY grease comes out, or grease enough until fresh grease comes out? I was thinking greasing until it's fresh grease.

It's up to you I am giving you advice based on almost 20 yrs of being an auto tech. But you do want to wipe the excess off just so dirt and grit doesn't stick to the grease just hanging out.

I greased until new grease was apparent.
