Added a raised LEER camper shell + a sleeping platform build-out with lighting for camping.
The OME light kit includes 885 springs. I believe they have the same spring rate as the 887 springs you recommended, just slightly shorter in height. Do you think it matters much?

885's will have the same around rate as the 887's yes.

885's will give you 2.5" of lift. You will need a 1/2" top plate spacer to get full 3". I run this setup now without any issues.

    887's will give you 3".

    You’d need UCAs with 887s.

I asked Demello Offroad the same thing about my 2016; they said their rig they use in their ads has the light Dakars.

There is no change in ride quality, it just engages the overloads with less sag.

I've installed a couple sets of 885s on double cabs without a front bumper that only got 1.5 inches of lift.

I have a US Offroad Bumper (63lbs) and a Super winch (83lbs though less since i switched to synthetic line) with 885s on the front. I originally got about 2.25" lift on the front after settling and then after the winch and bumper it dropped to about 1.5". I added a .5" spacer to driver and .25" to the passenger and now I sit at 22.5" on both sides so 2.5" lift. So 885s with spacers or 887s alone should get you to about 2-2.5" lift with the additional weight.

Awesome thanks for all the insight! I’m gonna go with the OME regular/light kit with 885’s and add some spacers (if needed) to get to 2.5” lift.

I would at least pick up a 1/4 spacer for the driver side lean. That should level the front out side to side.

What type/specific spacers did you use? I requested spacers be added to get to 2.5" lift with the 4x4 shop tech and this was their response:
"The only option would be going with a coilover front and add a leaf (icon kit) in the back or going with just a spacer kit and an add a leaf in the rear."

First of all go to another shop. Secondly I ordered the plastic spacers from @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc which are cheaper than the aluminum. I did 1/2" on the driver and 1/4" on the passenger, that netted me an additional 1" on driver and 1/2" passenger. I needed them because my bumper and winch made the front end lose a good amount of lift.
