I know. Another one of these. However I have a question about possible power loss and real world experience. I have a situation. I picked up a four of these tires for my 2002 4runner. I was looking for the size smaller when I flew in to Anchorage because I knew I needed new tires on that vehicle and I had good experience with them on my Tundra that I had in n the snow. No one had the 70/16s in town and there was not a Duratrac to be found so I looked and sa people were fitting these on the runner with stock suspension. I def. noticed a bit slower pickup on my runner and pretty bouncy. They are e rated. I know. Total overkill but what’s done is done.

I’m thinking of swapping these and putting them on my Tacoma and putting the kevlars on my runner. However I had my mind set on the Duratracs that I was going to get this month in the same size. 265/75/16s. How much power loss and is it very noticeable on the taco with these e-rates tires? Sorry for the long post but. Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks for that link. Ya. I pretty much screwed myself then. Guess I could try putting them up for sale. But will be out $. I might leave them on my runner. I have to get new suspension and brakes for it this year so that might help with the ride??

Are you in the lower 48 right now or back in AK?

Just run'em. They're more stout than GY Duratrac's. They perform well in snow. Great off road, although they chuck rocks. And wear like iron. I would keep them.

Back in AK. They were actually 60 bucks a piece cheaper than the 265/70/16s which is crazy.

Prob. Will. So I will swap them off my runner and put the stock off road 265/70/16s on the runner.
More power and better susp. On the Tacoma.

If you like the the tread pattern and looks of the KO2, and can wait just a little longer, General is releasing a new AT called the Grabber ATX, beginning of March. The Grabber AT2 that it is replacing, has a very similar tread pattern to the KO2, and the ATX is said to be an AT2 with a stronger sidewall and an improved shoulder. They've not announced sizing and load ratings yet, but they should be a very close competitor for the KO2. You might hold off on making your tire decision till we see if they are offered in a "C" load.
