Interesting discussion. Is there a difference between driving through water and sitting in it? Where I live if you vehicle is parked and water gets past the bottom of the doors, the car is considered written off by insurance.

Too many electronics in today's vehicles to risk a water crossing deeper than the height of the doors, and even that would really worry me in a modern vehicle.

Diff breathers are smart because of how low the diff hangs, but a snorkel and diff breathers does not mean you are safe from water damage by any means.

I don't even like hitting sitting water at high speeds, I cringe when I see people hitting water at full speed lol. All it takes is for the right amount of it to get in the wrong place and you're out a very large investment.

Felt like this was pushing it a little, but no problems.
My buddy had water over the top of his 35" tires. Likely 36-37" deep.

Rule of thumb, I would not want to cross water any higher than my tires.

Mojave Road yeah? I did that a little over a year ago, that was about as deep as I'd be comfortable with too. That shot is a little deceiving with the water being pushed up a bit by the front of the truck lol.

Not to get off topic but did you have to trim anything to fit those? I know most of the OR’s can but not much info on SR/SR5

I don't understand your point. I didn't make that graphic, I took it from a site discussing the Asian Colorado. The "bed dealy" is a trim piece. Anyways......if you want to believe it's a Ridgeline, I say go for it!!

Can the door seals be upgraded to keep water out in the even the water is deeper than expected?

It's not just the seals, there are little plugs for wires everywhere in the cab floor that will let water in

I didn't even think of those. Can those be made watertight?

Does Toyota still do the passive air vents on the back of the cab between the bed and cab? I know I've got them on my 1st gen and I'm pretty sure I've got them on my 2nd gen but I haven't looked closely on the 3rd gen.

For our trucks, Diff breathers are snake oil.

They can with some rtv but I can't say it will be worth the effort, way to much to do to make our trucks waterproof with all the electronics

They do but if you are in water that high then I would be more worried about the ecu and water you will be sitting in... literally
