LED Lighting Conversion

So yea, someone definitely bought the nintendo's (no, not a auto correction, just me being an ass) but I went back like 8 pages (likely on the 9th) and I couldn't find it.

I tell ya though, I found another fanless version on Amazon. What's up with that? What could they be doing to the construction to make the aluminum fins an adequate heat sink?

 

Although he has a nice signature that list some nifty brand names, a sufficient build thread would be much more ideal...what do you think @Parker315

 

I’ve done the TRDPro grille, I have a 3” Rough Country lift in the garage, no wheels or tires yet still stock, predator steps from factory, no bed cover yet either.

 

Eventually I will put that together haha

 

The trip was incredible!! It’s absolutely beautiful there in Durango. We skied at Purgatory Ski Resort which was amazing. Definitely going to try and make that an annual trip.

While I was gone my CaliRaised LED pods and Rock Lights came in. I’m excited to see what those are all about! Of course, as always, I’ll upload pics of everything.

Hahahaha yeah I do have to brag a little. She’s pretty freakin awesome. There is a Bar up at the top of the mountain called Powder House. We stopped there for some grub and a beer.

Did you guys drive there? If so, how'd all of the LEDs do for you?

 

Yes we did drive and we are still headed back. 17 hour drive from Houston. I was actually going to make a post about that. We took her RAV4 instead of the Tacoma, but I still did a small light test while we were there up in the mountains with no city or street lights.

Long story short though. LED out performed the halogens, but 1 very minor issue. I’ll post that probably later tomorrow maybe.

You pissed off/blinded the local residents?

 

I just added the new hikari philips bulbs and I think they’re great just from what I’ve seen after installing them. Now I just need to upgrade the high beams. I had truck-lite led headlights in my jeep prior to my tacoma and have been missing them. I was put off by the idea of the fans but they are very quiet. Won’t be a problem at all.

 

That's awesome! I lived my entire life in Farmington NM, about 30 miles south of Durango. I moved to Denver just last year. It's amazing country all around there. Silverton and Ouray are so beautiful, they somehow make Durango look weak. Definitely check those places out if you get a chance next go round!
