These are on my short list. But my short list continuously seems to get longer. If I buy these, after buying the BD fogs, and 2 pair of Hikari bulbs, and the pro grille, I probably could have saved money just buying a 4runner front clip. And I still gotta find signal lights to match my fogs.

So anyone running both LED in the front and rear turn signal locations? I'm running no resistor LED's in front and LED's with resistors in the rear but still get random hyperflash. From my reading, if the front/rear signals are on the same circuit, 1 resistor may not be enough and still cause hyperflash. What i don't understand is why it's random. I can go days and it's fine, then randomly it'll do it for a period of time but then go back to normal. Plus, it's only my passenger side, the driver side has been fine since say one.

Look for bulbs that say they have adjustable mounts. The VLED micro LED's have that feature. I ordered a knock off set from Aliexpress and they are adjustable. Got them perfectly level.

Anyone using the Vled V6 Tritons white/amber switchbacks yet that already had DRL? I’ve searched and look everywhere and don’t see any post. Just wondering if anyone has a pic, I wanted to see how the white with the DRL looked.

What scares me the most about these is all the great tests everyone has been so nice enough to do and post about are int he OEM housings. Aftermarket housing could be for shit with the same bulbs. I am not as adventurous as some of you young bucks. I want/need things to work from the git go. Why I still have not bought anything yet. I am still a little scared, but mostly broke. This Taco is a hungry monkey to feed.

Depends how much you want to spend. It will determine how bright and/or good quality you get. I am using Diodedynamics HP11 LEDs for my rear brake and turn signals...it was the middle of the road option that is offered by them. Much brighter than stock (and it's not their brightest option!), but they are high quality LEDs...the highest quality I've ever used (so far).

You do need resistors on the turn signals with these LEDs tho...

I am at all four corners.

Since each side seems to be part of the same circuit, I bet that I could have just doubled the resistance and put one one each side...but I didn't put in the front LEDs until a few weeks later (didn't have any LEDs up front yet). Also, I wasn't simply swapping in LEDs...I was making the entire rear light function as both the brake light AND the turn signal. One of my favortie mods to date!! :D See this thread for more on that (see page 2 for a short video demonstration and page 6 for the wiring diagram I made):

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tail-light-mod-both-lights-used-as-brake-and-signals.471450/

You're not the only one who has said that the passenger side was a little more finiky. Not sure why, but there is definitely a trend.

Hmmm. I’m using 6ohm on both sides. Maybe upgrading to a 8 or 9 ohm resistor may do the trick.

You might want to go up to 10 on each side (just to be safe). I've seen others say they used 5 ohms on each corner (so 10 ohms total for each side) without any issues.

@Parker315 or anyone knowledgeable/has tried it - if it is possible or ok to have the Hikari Philips version in both the HI and LO at the same time? I would assume it's fine...I just don't care for the $20 savings difference to put the Cree version in my HI...anything I need to worry about? Heat if both are on for an extended duration? (I don't drive with HI's on but on dark roads both may be on at the same time longer than usual...) I live in some rural canyons and have to watch out for deers, or hobos...whichever crosses my path first.

I emailed Hikari this very question before I ordered my 2nd pair. They quickly replied these are an exact fit for both high and low beams in the 16 Tacoma. Others in this thread have shown how well the output is in high beams. Mine have shipped but will not get and install them until Sunday.

I'm not sure how easy it is to adjust the angle of the stock fogs, but I do know that people with bright aftermarket fogs (like the BDs) have angled them down more.

There is a chance that you may not need to worry about it if your LEDs aren't super bright. Someone else with the F16's shoudle chime in to help you with their impressions, but if the LEDs don't have that much of a throw (or they don't fully reflect within the fog housing, so the actual output is less than it would've been in the projector housings (like our Low Beams), then it may be okay as it is.

Lol those damn hobos in the road!!

You shouldn't have an issue at all and you will get better light output from the Hikari Phillips TOP rather than the Cree TOP. @BlazingTaco18 did all Hikari Phillips in Fog, Hi, and Low and he seemed to love it. There was a post somewhere on this thread from him.

So just out of curiosity, I started looking around to see if I could find any "warm white" or OEM colored (3K-4.3K color temp) LEDs that would fit in the H11 stock fogs that will (likely) be brighter than the stock halogen bulbs. I'm just interested to see if there are lower cost & easy to swap LED bulbs that can provide a little more contrast from the "pure white" 5K-6K headlights that we are all using.

I only did some quick searches before I got distracted with other things [squirrel], but I came across some yellow (not amber?) LEDs and some really cheap 4k LEDs on ebay, but nothing that I think are worth trying out.

Has anyone else found something that might be worth looking at?

Although I'm asking about warm white fog LED bulbs, feel free to include any pure yellow (not amber) LED bulbs too.
