    Looks great!

Curious about the Hellwig setup. Is there any adjustability or 1" is what you get? Did you notice a change in ride quality compared to stock and any issues running stock length OR shocks? I'm assuming it was the 990 kit or similar, correct?

Okay I can agree with you on most of that. But the MSRP did change. 90 % of the dealers website reflected the old MSRP and then new one which was 684. Toyota put out the new MSRP.

I guess since its Toyota they can do whatever they want lol. But MSRP shouldn’t change since it can cause monopolization or as we have seen; extreme shorted of supply and spike on demand. The listing price is the one that should have change (basically dealerships changed their pricing is considered listing price since they control majority of the market). Remember dealerships are not part of corporate, so there probably was a mixed up unless Toyota wanted to gamble with the law. Then again there was such a small amount of inventory that it probably didn’t even matter.

Lol sorry for the business lesson =p

Yeah, the Hellwig setup was the EZ-990.
    They'll give you about 1/2"
They are a bit adjustable as you can crank down on the u bolts on the rear of the Hellwig leaf but are limited a little by the front drivers side bolt as it mounts in sideways to clear the gas tank.

The Hellwig springs might not work in conjunction with the ICON AAL out of the box as the AAL straps get in the way of the Hellwig u bolts.

The ICON AAL will give you about 1.1/2”-2” of lift... I removed my Hellwig spring and overload hence why I'm only getting an 1" in my before and after measurements.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-slow-build-long-bed-overland-build.474928/page-3

I have a little bit more info about the Hellwig springs in my build thread.

With only 150 miles on the lift as of now, I'll say that I'm liking the feel I'm getting from the ICON AAL out back with the new shocks over the stock OR shocks and helper springs.

The msrp did change when they blew them out. That's why every Toyota dealer changed their prices. Also outside vendors lowered their prices as well. Some lowered it more than others.

I agree with you, MSRP doesn't change.

In retail it is called a markdown, in this case on aged inventory. They wanted to clear through their stock, so they offered it at a clearance price. MSRP is just a suggested price that the manufacture wants the product to sell for. Retailers do not have to follow that pricing.

Thanks, I did not end up getting the TRD kit so just looking to improve load handling of my recall 3+1 pack and to get closer to factory rake after lifting front end 1". GeneralSpring HD pack, Wheeler's 5 leaf HD, and the various AAL setups are too much lift for what I want. This seems to be a better match and no issues with stock lenght shocks.

Well it did change. It shouldn't but it did. But its no big deal. Pretty much everyone that wanted one, got it. Whether it was at the cheaper price or the more expensive one like me.

You are the person i have been looking for!

How much weight do you have up front? I think my setup may be similar and i'm looking for info before i install my Pro kit (assuming you got the Pro springs and not Baja)

Also, whats your middle of hub to bottom of fender measurements? That'll eliminate tire differences?

How does it ride with the extra weight?

Sorry for all the questions, just excited to find someone that has installed this with a bit of weight up front, as i have.

Also, were you live looks freaking amazin, compared to my dry plains SW OK, so i hate you too :tumbleweed: lol

Old pic, but looks like our weight may be similar. Even have the same winch and both MGM, lol :bananadance:

The bumper is around 40 lbs and the winch is around 100 lbs.
Not sure of the sliders weight but they are well over 100lbs.

You are correct in your assumption, I am running the Pro Springs.

The ride is night and day better over the stock OR suspension.
As I slowly added weight to my truck over the course of two years I didn't realize how much the ride quality was suffering with the stock suspension. Especially over big dips and bumps off road.

The TRD PRO suspension feels nearly perfect with the weight I'm currently running.
To give it a random numerical rating i'll say the ride quality/dampaning is at least 30% better than before.

I'll have to get back to you with hub to fender measurements this evening when i get home.
    Tires are 265/75/r16 KO2's
I'll edit the post once I have them so check back...

BUMP for someone who has completed the lift and had an alignment done.

Were you able to get 2+ degrees of caster with the OEM UCA?

It would be wonderful if we could achieve 2-2.5 degrees to allow bigger tires.

Sweet, thats what i was hoping to hear. I have about 123lbs or so up front, i believe. Was worried Pro springs might not be heavy enough to support properly, cause preloaded stockers with 5100's is not cutting it.

Look fwd to hearing hub to fender measurements!

Also, after looking at your build thread for a minute, i REALLY freakin hate you! Its like you live in a damn Outdoor Life magazine! :annoyed::drool:

My billies give me about the same height, i was able to get 2 Caster, but i had to give up a tiny bit of Camber. Which is why i am considering some UCA's. Its not necessary, as i am well in spec, i just hate the look the camber is givin my tires.

Like this. You have to give up one to get the other. Least i did, hence my earlier note on UCA's. I've had it aligned 4 times since put the Billy's on, :censored:

Do your tires lean in at the top or out? I can live with giving up a little if it's leaning IN at the top of the tire, leaning out at the top would drive me nuts.

Out at the top. I f'ing hate it. Most people cant see it, but drives me insane. :der: Hence the 4 alignments at, wait 5 alignments, at 4 different shops. And me considering UCA's. Probably the new SPC's, that allow adjustment up top, since i only need a bit. But i'll have to find a tech that knows how to use the damn things or teach them:rofl:

May end up doing the alignment myself, so sick of dealing with the shops. One dude broke a snap on socket loosening from the wrong side, i had to show him where to loosen. Then he flattened my damn alignment tabs. I wanted to crack him over the head with the breaker bar. I should have left after the first sign. Eventually found someone that knew what the hell they were doing and stayed out there with him. Tried for quite some time, just wasnt possible to get the #'s. I may use him again or just do it myself. How does it go, if you want something done right....:frusty: I try do as much as possible myself, but figured, how could you screw up an alignment right :angrygirl:

I also may have a tiny bit more lift then Pro's provide. Which is why i am obsessing with @TRD-OffRoad_Ben 's hub to fender measurement. If i am a little lower, i might not need the UCA's
