Wish they made a tent that light and that cheap that would fit my family.

Hey ive been craming my family into 6'x9' tent for a few years now lol. Just wish the rtt that size werent 2k+ and weight 200lbs +

 

lol, I don't think most tent manufacturers have the brady bunch in mind when making their tents...

 

@stronghammer id be more than happy in a rainier if it was closer to 120#. Have been thinking about the FSR highcountry large tent. Lightweight and simple but still expensive.

Nah. She is on board, just a matter of finding the right one at the right price. And id rather have to get her approval than not have her. Sooooo, it ok

I hear you dude, I was just picking. It's cool your wives are really into this stuff, too. I'm glad my girlfriend has an interest in it as well.

 

The jury is out on how into it she is. She like the camping aspect and not so much the wheeling aspect as she can get car sick easily. But if she is willing to get a RTT and camp out way out west, I am definitely game.

 

sounds like you have a similar setup as Brian. Tanya is the hiking/exploring type so she just hiked the trails that we wheeled. Thought that was pretty cool.
