Random but here goes. My wife took a job at self medical in greenwood. My inlaws retired to myrtle beach last year. She starts here new job early June. We are moving from pa to greenwood.
I’ve never really took my truck off road besides hunting and fishing in pa. Looking forward to moving to the area. I was a marine and we lived in nc for 2 years.
Gunna rent in greenwood for a year or so until we buy land or a house and make sure it’s where where we wanna be. I guide for smallmouth bass in pa and I’m looking forward to fishing and hunting in sc.
If any of the local have an advice for the greenwood area it would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to the move and area and to meeting fellow members down there!

Welcome. Not to familiar with Greenwood but we a few that live close I'm sure will chime in.

I was born in Clearfield PA and my bro still lives in Williamsport. Havnt been back since my grandfather passed in 1996.

We have some really nice low key scenic trails in the mountains close by as well as some dedicated off road parks.

Plenty of trout, stripers, bass and smallies around and we have a dedicated SC fishing thread as well.

I live in Greenwood and have for a few years now. We also moved here from PA, but not from there originally. You can ask me any questions you want about the area.

    And morning, folks!

Not feeling this day at all so far... Think the time change has me out of whack or something.

Good luck with the day. Glad you're feeling better! It's gonna be rainy and gross here all day today. Trying to talk the wife into going and getting some good coffee from the local coffee joint.

The fishing is pretty good in Lake Greenwood, and you're only about an hour from the Savannah, too. In two hours you can be trout fishing in the mountains. Three hours you can saltwater fish down at the coast. Good times just waiting to be had!

Greenwood is kinda in the middle of nowhere. If you enjoy the slow life Greenwood is the place to be. :anonymous:

Greenwood is a small city, but I would argue that it's not slow at all. We are in the middle of nowhere, but only an hour from everything.

Musterground Road opens on the 20th. There's some good views of Lake Joccassee and the Thompson River during the ride.
