Use paper towels instead of cloth

 

If you douse the towel in gas it'll keep the it damp enough to not catch fire. Normal water will just evaporate

Personally I thought it was a ballsier move to post the events and the pics.

But, I would have never taken the HL above 225 anyway. BTW, the documented process says to use cardboard, so the no combustible thing does fall apart some. Also BTW, when I did mine years ago, I just used a cookie sheet, no cardboard either.

I have fancy smoked headlights. Ain't care

 

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I ended up having to keep the oven on to get enough temp in there. Got a son who's done/re-done his HLs several times. He has to keep the oven on also to soften the butyl nuff.

 

Kids, kids, kids. Ain't weren't no smoked version back in 09 when I was initially doing mine. I did upgrade to the smoked version a couple years later, before I had the retros done. Think I still have my smoked up in the attic for when/if I sell it.

 

I just left the hospital.
