Hola from Nebraska...land of ice. I just moved up here from Florida and it's been one of the coldest winters in a while here. With that being said, I've noticed a very annoying and loud dashboard "rattle" on the passenger side when temps drop below about 30 degrees F. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not certain that it directly correlates with temperature, but I don't hear it when it's a bit warmer during the mid-afternoon.

I get one, also, especially if my wife sits in the passenger seat. Sounds like it's in the dash somewhere, but why would a passenger make it worse?

Slap the A pillar plastic on the passenger side.

Passenger A pillar... need to remove A-pillar and install some more felt at the "feet" of the A-pillar where the hidden pieces go into dash beside the speaker.. Can upgrade speaker while yer there. Google Subaru speaker replacement.

There's 2 bolts that hold the handle on - with covers - 10mm bolts.

Remove and add felt the lower end of A-pillar cover and replace.

Can have dealer do it if still under 36K miles. Pretty easy fix - getting the felt prolly the hardest part.

On mine it was a VERY annoying click click click... It's actually felt tape that was installed at factory letting go on the glue, re-attaches then lets go again... making that clicking sound. Only does it in cold .... add more felt.

Sweet deal man! I have my 15k service coming up and I'm going to have them do this. My dealership here in Omaha is pretty awesome.

They should know what it is... My truck was a very early build and it hadn't been figured out yet.. first winter 2015-2016. Took mine into dealer and they "looked it up" and found the solution and fixed it. I just upgraded my speakers on the dash and took it apart and saw where they added the felt.

Yeah I listen to a lot of podcasts while driving, and I'm OCD so it drives me nuts!

Yes I did hear it this winter, very cold it was. But mine only lasted for a few minutes and went away and it was coming from where others above have said, easy fix, but I didn't bother because as said, it just went away after a few minutes.

A genuine new vehicle bug I would say.

Give the handle a good wack with the side of your fist. That will help for a week or so.

It will come back trust me... and when it does it will even be more annoying the next time. It gets louder as time goes by.
