I've only got 300 miles on this beast, but I noticed immediately that when I brake I can feel a shudder or pulsing around 10mph until I stop. It has the feeling of warped rotors, and the harder I brake, the more noticeable it is. This can't be normal, I'm hoping :)

You might need to bed the pads. You possibly have some uneven pad material on the rotor face being that new.

Mine is at 3500mi and still has the issue. I'll talk to dealer about it on 5k service... I have a fairly good dealer near me.

At 550 miles now, and it's just getting worse... my fillings rattle when I hit the brakes. Bringing it in to the dealer on Tuesday.

Someone had a Thread up about Warped Drums and Bent Axles, could possibly be causing your issue too.

I think I have this same issue. I plan to bring it up at 5K service as well. Only seems to happen when slowly coming to a complete stop.

Brought it in to the dealer where I bought it, only 547 miles on the clock. From the work order: Found front rotors out of round - used on car brake lathe and resurfaced front rotors.

I told them that I'd expect the rotors to be replaced on a brand new vehicle that was delivered this way, but was told that this is Toyota policy and they would not replace rotors unless they were already worn out.

I have the same issue on my 2018 taco. In dealer now. They initially found a front brake pad that had fallen apart, but I took it for a drive after they completed this work and no change so far. Any suggestions? Seems to shudder just before coming to a stop. braking at higher speeds is super smooth

Mine does this as well. Noticed it with less than 100 miles. At 1,000 now, problem hasn't progressed. Been apprehensive to take to the dealer. I believe it may be the warped axle issue as shakerhood mentioned above. I wanted them to be in the know on the tsb, then I was going to bring it up to see if that's what I've got going on.

Seems like a warped axle would shudder or thud without using your brakes as well. I would start with the brakes.

Changed out rear drums and put new pads on front discs. Issue still is present. I am leaning towards the TSB for the wrong drive shaft angle. As I was driving the vehicle away I tried coasting to a stop without using my breaks and could detect vibration around the same speed. I have a 2018..Does anyone know if the TSB will apply to 2018 models?

They'll fix it. Mention the warped axle tsb. It's on here somewhere. See if that's your issue.

I am actually thinking that it is the driveline angle and i believe the fix is to install new leaf springs to change the angle so that the driveshaft doesn't vibrate. Any other 2018 owners having vibration when coming to a stop around 0-20 mph?
