What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Its a 32 inch bar. But thats bolt to bolt. The actual light is 30 inches.

Its an ebay noname bar that I got from a coworker, but it is on the list to get upgraded. It does well for something that gets used so seldom, but there are far better options if you have the money.

 

For those who have done a regear, did you get the TACOMA 8.4 NON ELD/ T100/ TUNDRA - SOLID SPACER installed?

167K, I still use standard dinosaur based oil on my 2.7L. I think the switch is not necessary...

 

The tech that re assembled my truck after the frame replacement did a great job, but boy did he complain about lining up the hitch. He said it looked out of shape, like it had been hit. He said he inspected the rest of the rear half of the truck and found all original, so he said he fought thru the install of the hitch. Not saying they will give you a hard time... your mileage may vary.

 

Havent yet, but I will. Its $45. If it keeps my pinion from walking and saves a $1600 3rd member, Im game.

 

Good to know, I was able to get the hitch off with ease. The bumper however was a pain in the ass to get off. It took me and my buddy a half hour to get the bumper off after I removed all the bolts. These frame rails taper which makes it a challenge to slide the bumper straight out.

I have not taken any measurements yet. Going to do it hopefully tomorrow. Was too busy running around. In the back I have the HS Progressive AAL, and we left the overload in because of the cap.

Hopefully going in for an alignment tomorrow as well.

Just installed my

$310 CKMA12 On-Board Air Compressor High Performance 12 Volt for Air Locker Differentials and Tire Inflation

CKMA12 compressor in the engine bay on the Slee mount and hooked it up to the SPOD from earlier. Anyone in Oregon/SW Washington want to help me with the bumper in the next week or two? I'll buy the beer....

DIY power steering reservoir relocate or is it part of the Slee mount?

 

After a couple weekends with the flippac I needed something to keep everything more organized so I don’t have to be trying to tip toe over all the camp gear.

Just the basic 2x4 + plywood storage system.

With all the supplies minus the tools at home it was a little under $60




Aaaand spent the weekend camping on the beach

 

Was finally nice enough to wash the truck. There was a thick coat of dust and mud but now she's shining!

 

I’ve got the same headlights on mine, totally changed the look. Just be careful, the cone deflector thing inside my passenger side one was a little off and I had to bend it, just in case you have an issue as well

 

It is part of the Slee mount. The mount is quite good but the measurements for the bolt holes are just SLIGHTLY off meaning there is a little bit of finagling to get them in, but it will go.
