I did it to myself so I can't even be mad. I tend to push everything I do to the limits.

Really? That seems too easy lol. Where to you get power to the unit from?

 

Power from the battery run through firewall.You will need to ground the antenna just get a coax cable run it along the truck frame come up under the driver side seat there is a grommet. You run the coax under the carpet and come up through center console. It aint no thing except a chicken wing on string.I got all the stuff from Amazon.

Fire ring makes it even easier. Do you have a CB antenna mount?

That's pretty cool placement.

I want to put mine in the opening underneath the AC controls.

Ground antenna MOUNT, not the antenna. The antenna itself needs to be isolated from the mount.
