I received this a few days ago but just got around to installing it tonight.

 

I forgot to take a picture, but I picked up a nail a couple of days ago. Initially thought it was just the weather causing the low tire pressure. Then today it was down to 15 pounds so I threw on the spare and took her to Discount Tire for a plug.

I just dont know for sure which to buy. Like I said the pipe is 2 3/4 out but they sell 2 3/4 inlet but I feel that the pipes would line up. or is the 2 3/4 inlet on the tip the inside diameter?
and about 4 inches in the pipe steps down in diameter.
Has anyone that put on a tip dealt with the step? I see most tips are about 9 inches long and I dont want the tip to stick out 5 inches off exhaust. will the clamps on the tip secure after the step down?

 

If the tip says it has a 2-3/4" inlet that means it will fit over a 2-3/4" outside diameter pipe.

 

so dont buy the 2 7/8 then? but 2 3/4
