Bilstein 5100 paired with 5160?

Hello,
Wondering if anyone is running 5100s up front and 5160s in the rear?
If so, how's ride and post pics please.

Honestly you won't feel a difference from a 5100 or 5160 in the rear, the 5160 is essentially a 5100, but running a resivoir. It will come down to what AAL, 3 leaf AAL or Full leaf you get as far as ride quality.

I'm running the 6112/5160 and have no complaints for what I do with the truck.

 

Thanks for response. I can not find anyone running 5100 front and 5160 rear. I see ppl running 6112 front and 5100 rear.

 

I could have been mistaken, but if you've ever been in a truck with billies all around it should ride petty much the same.

Also what spring will you be using OME 887 or something?

5100s are a strut

6112 is a strut and coil combo developed by bilstein to compliment eachother.

Im betting they ride far different

 

I was talking about the comparison of a 5100s all the way around and 5100s in the front and 5160 in the rear.

I have the 6112. There is no comparison between the 2

 

I’m thinking about getting the 5100 front and tears. Could I put those on alone or would I need to get new coils also ?

 

Should I get two new front coils or four new 5100s ? What would be better ? Thanks

I was thinking about using my stock coils and set the front 5100 at 1.5 and put 5160 in rear. Pretty much a leveled look.

I have a 4x2 and all the OME coils seem to give 2+ inches of lift and I don't want that.

I'm conflicted though. I almost snagged a used set of 6112/5160 but he reported that the fronts have oil misting on them and I'm not looking for a rebuild. So that is out the window.

Now I have the opportunity to snag a new set of the trd pro bilstein set up but I think that will lift the crap out of my 4x2 DCSB.

I really want to just lift the front like .5" over factory rear rake and maybe add a .5" leaf shim to get totally leveled.

 

You could get 5100 2nd gen and 884 coils and will lift 1 1/2 “ . Thats what i got , waiting to install .

 

Post pics when you get installed please. You doing anything to rear?

 

I will be running 5160's to the rear with HD Dakars. currently have 5100s all around. Stay tuned my friend.
