SDHQ has REM polished gears in stock. I’ve got about 509 miles on my setup so far...love it!

Hey guys. Just bought the nitro 4.88 for 2017 TRDOR manual w/locker and REM option. Few questions.
I live in the Harrisburg area. Central PA. Where is a good quality installer for these gears?

Does the master kit include new Differential carrier bearings? If not what's a good part number? And how many for front and rear?

How long does it take (days) to do this job?

Interested to see where you get it done at as I'd love to do this in the future. I have heard a few good reviews about Main Line Overland, but have never personally used them and it's a decent drive for you since I doubt it'd be a quick job.

Keep me posted with what they say and I'd love to hear what they charge. I know they had their open house yesterday, but I sadly didn't go.

    Not much stock left.
If you’re getting the ARB front air locker, then yes, it comes with a carrier bearing. At least that was my understanding when i ordered. I should be receiving my kit in a week or two.

    Waiting’s a beeatch.

Not getting the locker for the front. I opted out. Have a manual that has the A-Trac and rear locker.

I installed a Dakota digital speed calibrator for $85. It was a cinch and corrected my drastically wrong speedometer reading. After gear change I was reading 70mph while doing 55mph with 285/75r16’s a couple quick wire taps and back to spec. B08B4E6C-FF84-486D-99B2-6FE120F5233D.jpg

It will indeed since it taps into the line going directly to the speedometer all other systems are before the tap.

No I have not tested one. You’ve got me there. However knowing how electrical systems operate and how this system operates there is no reason it would not. The 3rd gen gets its signal the same way the 2nd gen does, through a speed sensor a speed sensor sends our a signal that can be modified. The DD unit does this at the input to the speedometer which in turn relays it’s signal to whatever else needs it. All this unit does is change that input by a percentage. For $85 and no harm to your truck if it doesn’t work I would be willing to bet the company would give you one to be a test mule. Better odds then Toyota giving me a 3rd gen. If you also look at the hypertech unit you will notice it has 4 wires run to it. These would be the same 4 wires for the dakota digital box. They are essentially the same thing. The difference in price from what i can see is the mess of wires they give you to make it plug and play. I will be meeting up with a friend who has the hypertech unit in a 3rd gen and see if he feels like being adventurous for the good of the group and try my simple cheap version.:boink:

You might save yourself the set-up cost if you did..since they could just swap the 3rds if it was available when mine was in for gears. Do you have a rear locker?
