How's it sound? I want a muffler with just a bit deeper tone & more free flowing than stock that tucks up high like that.

It’s slightly louder than I thought it would be, only having listened to YouTube videos beforehand. All my other Tacoma’s have had a Flowmaster 40 series on them and it’s nowhere near that noise level. Not very loud at cruising speed. It definitely has a deeper tone and a little growl to it now. You know it’s there when you accelerate. I’d put it in the same category as the TRD exhaust. The only thing I might do is add a resonator tip after I chop the end to dump it after the axle just to mellow it out slightly more.

But yeah, first day initial impressions are very positive. It gives you a TRD exhaust sound for around 1/4 the price, and it tucks the muffler up a bit higher for better clearance.

This is my first automatic Tacoma and I’ll have to get used to the automatic/aftermarket muffler combo, with a manual you have more “control” on how it sounds during shifting if that makes sense.

Yeah I’m liking it. My wife just got a 5.7 Tundra and it has a deep growl stock, so I had to make mine sound a little louder. It was a matter of principle.

Thanks a lot. It’s still got a long way to go. Fox or King suspension, Pelfreybilt armor, bed rack, pro grille, chrome delete, etc.

I live on 15 acres in the woods so it’s like an every other day thing for us to wipe the tree spunk off our vehicles.
