I used Conicelli Toyota. Didn’t enter a VIN when I ordered, but they sent an email requesting one last week. Looked one up on AutoTrader.

Nice! Any regrets getting the bumper guard?

@oldirtywalker i was gonna get the knock off too only 170 as opposed to my dealership charging 469... only question i got is if you had any unprecedented issues during install that some of these guys with OEM’s didn’t have. I’m gonna be attempting to install the TSS on it as well.

TSS works well. I did order the OEM garnish for $50 on eBay though since I was only paying $140 on the grill. I haven't had any issues since install, no errors and change in habits from the TSS system. The quality is good side by side with my buddy's OEM he installed before the knock offs even hit the market.

The ding against the one I got is they replaced the star washers that holds the insert on by just melting the plastic there. Another 10 minutes added to the install but I would do it again.

@oldirtywalker thanks for the feedback! I’ve been seeing all sorts of pricing varying from 140-170 some even say OEM, but that is relating to the 16-17 grilles. The only 18’s I’ve seen are either OEM for 400 hundred or the knock offs

Did you get the star washers from your local dealership or did you improvise something else? Thinking of heading to the dealer today to see if I can get a couple.

I realize you were asking another member. But I thought I would share what I did. My local Ace hardware has a box labeled “Push Nuts”. I used the 1/4” size. $0.43each. Backup plan for you if the dealership says they would have to order them.

Does anyone know if there’s suppose to be a slight backwards tilt on the garnish? The grille is OEM. Am I missing something?

I just put a dab of epoxy, I think it will be easy to Dremel off if I ever need to.

I don't remember there being one on mine, scared to check now. If no one else does I'll look at lunch.

Just installed an OEM one today with garnish on my 2018 , used new star washers with a dab of hot glue to make sure garnish was tight and didn't rattle.
didn't notice any tilt let me go check it out.

Thanks for the info, do you happen to know the part number for the TSS Sensor of the Non-TRD Pro Trucks?

Also are there any differences other than the part number? like do they look different or have different mounting points?

Thank you for this great, detailed thread! I just did mine; got the OEM Toyota pro grille, and bought the OEM crash sensor lens, and it was a very easy job, thanks to the tips on the push-on fasteners for the lens, and for the caution on the grill tabs at the bottom. At first, I had difficulty in finding how to release the bottom tabs holding the assembly into the truck, but I just wiggled and pulled gently and the whole thing came out clean. The only hiccup was that when I removed the blank hole piece (where the sensor lens goes) on the new grille, one plastic stud broke, but that piece would have been discarded anyway since I got the lens. (This is a 2018 TRD Sport 4x4). Quite honestly, I bet the aftermarket grille would have worked fine, but this is a new truck, and I didn't want to start putting non-OEM parts on it.
